Description of the attraction
The National Zoo and Aquarium is a private animal collection located on the western shore of Lake Burleigh Griffin in Canberra, in the Yarralumla area. It is also the only zoo in Australia to have a combined aquarium.
In the zoo, you can see both endemic species and animals brought to the continent from other countries - for example, there is the largest collection of big cats in Australia, including the only one in the country of tigers (a cross between a tiger and a lion). Besides him, here you can see common and white lions, Sumatran and Bengal tigers, puma, cheetah, serval (this is a small African wild cat), snow leopard. Other major inhabitants of the zoo are the Malayan biruang bear and the brown bear. The Australian fauna is represented by wild dogs, dingoes, koalas, kangaroos, wombats, Tasmanian devils, wallabies, emus and other animals. In addition, the zoo contains various types of restless monkeys, funny meerkats, long-necked giraffes, lazy reptiles and colorful birds.
