The Museum of Contemporary Fine Arts is one of the youngest, dynamically developing museums in Minsk. It was founded in 1997 under the leadership of the People's Artist of Belarus Professor V. P. Sharangovich.

The task of the museum is a creative search for new trends and styles of fine arts. During its existence, the museum has become a cultural and information center of modern Belarus. It hosts exhibitions of works by artists, photographers and sculptors, presentations, installations, cultural events.

The collection of the museum consists of more than 1500 works of painters, graphic artists, sculptors, photographers. The museum also hosts exhibitions of foreign contemporary art and conducts educational activities. The museum holds concerts, conferences, lectures on contemporary art.

The first exhibition of the museum took place in 1998. It was called "New Collection" and was a kind of presentation of the museum's collection, which gives an idea of modern styles and trends in the visual arts of Belarus.
