Description of the attraction
The Gorka sports and entertainment center is located right within the city of Petrozavodsk, which makes it easily accessible. Although the complex appeared not so long ago, today we can safely talk about its extraordinary popularity. Once inside the Gorka sports and entertainment center, you will find yourself in a beautiful snow-covered place, where all the splendor and beauty of the winter forest will open before your eyes. You will immediately forget that you are within the city, that enterprises, traffic jams and human vanity are working somewhere very close. Time seems to stop especially for you.
On the territory of the center there are two well-prepared, illuminated slopes (slopes length 200 and 250 meters), so there is enough space for skiing. What is very important, the Gorka sports complex is equipped with four modern lifts, and the skiing process can be continued for a long, demanding effortless climb back up the mountain.
For lovers of freestyle, a mini snowboard park (a special track with trampolines) is organized, as well as the only Half-Pipe in Karelia. The entertainment center has repeatedly held all kinds of winter sports events and competitions.
Winter fun is gaining more and more popularity among the local population - riding on "cheesecakes". In the center "Gorka" there are two special slopes for snow tubing. One has only to try to descend dashingly from the mountain on a snow tube, and you will get your portion of extraordinary, new impressions and adrenaline. It is the perfect winter pastime for families with children.
For those who prefer a more relaxing holiday, they can go ice skating. There is a specially filled skating rink on the territory of the complex. Everyone from young to old, beginners, and even professionals will get incredible pleasure from illuminated and festive ice, whirling around to cheerful music.
If you decide to try alpine skiing or snowboarding for the first time, or just ride a skating rink, do not worry, you will not have to buy expensive equipment. It can be rented in the very center, and experienced instructors will help you get acquainted with the basics of skiing. At the rental point, in addition to basic equipment, you will also find accompanying accessories (skates, glasses, helmets) at your service.
After a busy and interesting day, each guest of the entertainment complex can have a snack in a cozy cafe, relax and drink hot tea located right on the territory of the Gorka center. The cafe is equipped with a Wi-Fi zone. It is also possible to rent a gazebo house with an open brazier (cat), which makes the center a convenient place for outdoor celebrations.
