The museum is dedicated to the pharaoh, who lived a short and unremarkable life. Tutankhamun became famous only at the beginning of the 20th century, when archaeologists discovered his burial place. From the surviving tomb of the pharaoh, scientists took out more than 1,500 treasures and placed them in the National Museum in Cairo.
The Sharm El Sheikh Museum contains only copies of exhibits from the tomb of Tutankhamun. But the copies are so high quality that only a specialist can distinguish them from the original. The spacious hall displays over 100 exhibits, including a golden mask and sarcophagi. All items can be touched and photographed (this is prohibited in the Cairo Museum), near each of them there is an explanation in English and in Russian. The museum has a Russian speaking guide.
Dolphinarium
You can entertain children who are bored on the beach in the Dolphinarium of Sharm el-Sheikh, the only one on the Sinai Peninsula. The burials are more than 6 thousand years old. During excavations, ancient beads and bracelets, dishes, and tools were found here. Who owned the found treasures remains unclear.
Today the structures of Navamis are in a dilapidated state. And yet, those who are interested in the ancient history of mankind should definitely go here.
