Naples, like any southern city, is full of hustle and bustle, contradictions, pickpockets and noise. But this dubious flavor is more than covered by positive energy and amazing historical, architectural and cultural heritage. It was it that allowed the old center of Naples, quite deservedly, to step into the UNESCO World Heritage List with a full set of narrow streets running down to the bay and warm spacious squares. Are you deciding how to get to Naples without wasting time and money? Don't just look at direct flights! Connections in Rome and other European capitals can play into the hands of the thrifty traveler.
Choosing wings
Naples Capodichino International Airport is located just 6 kilometers north of the city's outskirts and receives all international flights and many domestic:
- You can get to Naples directly from the capital of Russia on board the S7 airline. A round-trip ticket in economy class will cost 270 euros for early (1, 5-2 months) booking. The planes depart from the Moscow Domodedovo airport.
- The Meridiana company evaluates its services a little more expensively. You will have to pay 280 euros for a ticket. This small airline is half-owned by the owners of Qatar Airlines, and therefore the service on board is rated as very decent. A direct flight takes from 3, 5 to 4 hours.
- Traditionally, a flight with a stopover in one of the European cities will cost a little less than a ticket for a direct regular flight. For example, the Dutch airline KLM will ask for only 200 euros for its services. True, you will have to spend about 6 hours in the sky and spend some time on the docking itself. So spending less money will entail more time spending.
- But a flight with Alitalia is a reasonable combination of price, quality and time spent. For 240 euros with a connection in Rome, you can get to Naples in less than 5 hours.
From Naples airport, due to its good location literally on the outskirts of the city, it is not too expensive to go to the center by taxi. The issue price is about 20 euros.
