The location of Indonesia (its area is 1,919,440 sq. Km) is Southeast Asia. The state washes the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Indonesia, which consists of more than 17,500 islands (inhabited - 6,000, and unnamed - more than 9600), has land borders (length - 2,380 km) with Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Malaysia.
Part of the Indonesian islands is occupied by the Sunda Archipelago. For example, the Great Sunda Islands include Sulawesi, Sumatra, Java and others.
Since Indonesia lies in the Pacific Ring of Fire, the country is periodically subject to earthquakes and, in addition, it has 400 volcanoes, of which 150 are active (Bromo, Krakatau, Merapi, Semeru and others).
Indonesia (the capital is Jakarta) consists of two special districts (Yogyakarta and Jakarta) and the provinces of Jambi, Lampung, Riau, Aceh, Bali, Banten, Maluku and others (there are 32 in total).
How to get to Indonesia?
It will be possible to go on the Moscow - Denpasar (Bali) flight together with Aeroflot: the aircrafts of this carrier spend about 12 hours on the road. If you make a stop at the Singapore airport (this flight is operated by Singapore Airlines), then, not taking into account the connecting time, passengers will have to wait for a 13-hour flight. Some people are not averse to using such a flight as Moscow - Istanbul - Singapore - Denpasar (Air Asia + Turkish Airlines), but it should be understood that the air trip in this case will last 19-24 hours.
Air France, Turkish Airlines and Emirates Airlines (regular flights) can “fly” guests and residents of Kiev to Indonesia. Charters are organized not only from the Ukrainian capital, but also from Dnepropetrovsk.

Komodo attracts travelers with its nature: here you can capture butterflies and birds, cotton trees, hills covered with lush vegetation, and, of course, the most important inhabitants of the island - monitor lizards. Before traveling to Komodo, you should take into account that there are no shops, cafes and hotels, and there are only souvenir shops where locals sell beads, pearls and even dragon claws.
In Sumatra, tourists will find temple complexes, black and sandy beaches, untouched nature and palaces. Thus, the Baiturrahman Raya Mosque, the Maimun Palace (only 2 rooms are open for tourists), exhibits of the Military Museum in the form of ancient rifles, cannons and machine guns of the 20th century are subject to inspection. In Sumatra, you will also be able to admire Lake Toba, heal with thermal springs on Mount Belirang, raft down the Wampu River, and watch the animals of the Gunung Leser National Park.
In addition, guests of the Madura Islands watch bull races, Sumba attend fights between riders, and Flores relax on the “3-color” lake Keli-Matu.
