In recent years, Russians have been rediscovering holidays on the Crimean Peninsula. How to get to Feodosia without unnecessary expenses and nerves, we will tell you.
Feodosia has not lost its attractiveness in the eyes of modern tourists. It would seem that a modern traveler can go anywhere in the world, but many Russians still choose a vacation in Feodosia. There are several reasons for this:
- the relative cheapness of accommodation and food;
- healing climate;
- familiar Russian language.
All these advantages outweigh even the difficult move to Feodosia.
How to get to Feodosia in a few hours
There is no airport in Feodosia. The nearest airport accepting intercity flights is located in Simferopol, the capital of Crimea. Direct flights with Moscow and Simferopol are well established. Every day, literally every hour, planes of various airlines fly to Simferopol, among which are: Aeroflot; Red Wings; VIM-Avia; Ural Airlines; "S7". From the city of St. Petersburg to Simferopol can be reached by air on the aircraft of the Aeroflot carrier. These flights operate three times a day.
Once at the airport of Simferopol, the traveler should get to the railway station of this city, from where route taxis and buses leave for various settlements of the Crimea. Tickets are sold at the box office and from the bus driver. Buses run very often, so you don't have to sit with your suitcases while waiting at the station. The way from Simferopol to Feodosia will take about two hours.
By train
Most tourists prefer to travel to Crimea by more convenient transport than a plane. Since December 2019, it has become possible to get to Crimea by train. Now several trains have been launched to Crimea from different cities of Russia: from Moscow and St. Petersburg, from Yekaterinburg and Kislovodsk. In the future, trains from other regions of Russia will also be launched, so that everyone who dreams of resting in Crimea can do it with maximum comfort.
You can get to Simferopol from Moscow and St. Petersburg by Tavria trains. Depending on the class of service, passengers have access to basic services included in the ticket price. For an additional fee on board the Tavria train, passengers can buy souvenirs for the trip, as well as food and drinks from the menu of the dining car. As a tribute to railway traditions, each passenger during the trip for tea is given a branded cup holder with a glass (subject to the purchase of tea from the conductor), which depicts a personal train against the background of the arches of the Crimean bridge.
There is public transport from the Simferopol railway station to Feodosia. You can also order a taxi directly to your chosen destination.
