Georgia has three international airports (Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi) and one regional (Mtskheta). Tbilisi Airport is located 17 km from the Georgian capital. You can get to the city center either by taxi or by public transport.
There are several direct flights daily from Moscow (airports Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo) to Tbilisi. The planes of the companies "Aeroflot", "Ural Airlines", "Georgian Airways" fly to Georgia. Travel time is 2 hours 40 minutes. You can fly to the Georgian capital with transfers. How to get to Tbilisi by plane from St. Petersburg? There are direct flights of Ural Airlines and Georgian Airways from the Northern capital to Tbilisi four times a week. You can fly to Tbilisi from nearby countries, for example, from Ukraine (carriers "UIA", "Yanair" and "Wizz Air"), Belarus (all international airports in Georgia are operated by aircraft of the "Belavia" company), Kazakhstan ("Air Astana"), Azerbaijan ("Azerbaijan Airlines"), etc.

By train to Georgia
Many tourists prefer to travel by train, but there has been no direct rail link between Georgia and Russia for several years. However, it is not yet necessary to fold the train as a cheap means of transportation.
You can enter the territory of Georgia by train:
- from Azerbaijan. Trains from Baku to Tbilisi leave every day. The journey will take about 15 hours;
- from Armenia. The train travels from Yerevan to Tbilisi in 10 hours and 20 minutes.
Another budget option for traveling by train to Georgia is to get to Vladikavkaz by rail, and then to cross the border take a taxi or a ride that will take you to the Georgian village of Stepantsminda, located a few kilometers from the Georgian-Russian border. Minibuses go from this village to Tbilisi. The fare for them is 10 GEL.
Way to Georgia by water
From Russia, through Sochi, you can get to the Georgian port of Batumi by ship "comet". In 6 hours after landing, tourists find themselves in Batumi. This transport only carries passengers. For cars and other cargo, there are ferries that go much slower than comets.
How to get to Tbilisi from Batumi? Take a high-speed train, which takes a little more than 5 hours, a minibus or a bus (in this case, you will have to travel for more than 6 hours). The fare is about 20-30 GEL, depending on the chosen transport.
