A rare trip to Europe is complete without a tourist's arrival in the beautiful capital of Austria, one of the most ancient cities not only of this continent, but also of the world. Due to the huge number of people wishing to contemplate the sights and cultural monuments, living in Vienna at the moment is poured into a pretty penny for a foreign visitor.

Travel savvy guests know how to solve this problem. It is not necessary to settle in a fashionable 5 * hotel if you are planning a detailed study of urban architecture. You can take a good hotel not in the very center, but a little further from the historical monuments and save a lot on this. Young people, in general, prefer hostels, where it is relatively comfortable, warm and quite cozy.

Accommodation in Vienna - various options

Vienna is divided into several districts, which look like rings on the map. The first district is located in the center, naturally, there are also the most expensive hotel complexes here. More economical options are found in areas 2-9, adjacent to the "outside" of the ring.

The cheapest hotels will be located on the outskirts, but there are good options here as well. For example, on the metro line, from where it is easy to get to the same historical center, paying for accommodation and transport an order of magnitude less. As for the cost of living, you should be prepared for the following amounts (in euros): 30-40 - for two in a hotel 1-2 *; 70–150 - the same room in a 3 * hotel; from 250 - accommodation in a 4 * hotel.

Vienna is characterized by the seasonality of accommodation prices, with the arrival of the high season (lasts from April to October) and during the Christmas holidays, the cost increases, in the low season it decreases. This point can also be taken into account by foreign travelers when planning an excursion to the Austrian capital.

Of course, living in a 5 * hotel can amaze anyone, because these are historical mansions, architectural masterpieces of different centuries. Private rooms are furnished with real antique furniture, which will be appreciated by respectable wealthy tourists with a big wallet. Change of towels daily, bed linen on demand, breakfasts included in the price, free parking and other amenities will ensure a good rest, but will cost from 200 to 400 euros per night.

Three-star hotels are located a little further from the center, do not always have parking, but they are ready to offer a modest breakfast to the guest (buffet or coffee with a bun) and free Wi-Fi. The rooms are furnished with solid furniture and appliances.

Economy class options

Knowledgeable people planning to save on accommodation for visiting museums and the Vienna Opera choose the cheapest accommodation options: student dormitories; private apartments; hostels. In the first establishment, the night will cost 15 euros per person, which is half the price of the cheapest hotel. Hostels are even more economical (10 euros), and they are located in the area of Vienna's train stations. The disadvantages of such a stay are a tough schedule (the doors are usually locked at night, they are cleaned in the morning, guests will be asked to vacate the rooms).

Naturally, there will be no such requirements when renting an apartment from a private person, and the cost can be as high as 25 euros if a tourist book an apartment in advance. As you can see, Vienna shows sincere concern for its guests, is ready to satisfy any requests regarding accommodation. Each tourist decides for himself to choose an expensive hotel in the city center or stay in a student hostel. The cost is influenced by stardom, distance from the center, food and entertainment.
