Description of the attraction

Wet'n 'Wild Amusement Park is a huge water park located in the town of Oxenford on the Gold Coast of Australia. In 2009, it was visited by 1 million and 95 people, which made the park the most visited in Australia and the eighth in the world by this indicator!

The park, which opened on 30 September 1984, cost A $ 18 million to build. The original name - "Cade's Country Waterpark" - in 1987 was changed to the current "Wet'n 'Wild", which literally can be translated as "wet and wild". And, I must say, this name perfectly reflects the essence of the park - after visiting it, you become wet to the skin, but full of wild delight!

Perhaps the most popular attraction in the park is the unique Kamikaze, the only one of its kind in the entire southern hemisphere. This is a U-shaped slide, the visitors of which sit in a two-person cell at one end of it and begin to rush down a steep slope at a breakneck speed, then “fly out” from the other side and “collapse” down again. Rolling continues as long as the camera is moving by inertia. Another dizzying attraction, "Tornado", is a four-seater "funnel" in the form of a clover leaf, which begins to rotate at a speed of up to 40 km / h, and then suddenly decelerates. In the "Black Hole" visitors in complete darkness rush down the dashingly swirling hill, picking up decent speed.

You can also tickle your nerves on the Aqua-Loop: these are four loop-like slides, going down which you can reach speeds of up to 60 km / h, and then plunge into the pool, raising a fountain of splashes!

Younger children will love the Pirates Bay, a play area divided into two sections. The first contains water slides and attractions, the second - shallow pools.

For them, as well as for everyone whose adrenaline level is already off scale, “Kallipso Beach” has been created - a calm boat ride on an artificial river.

In general, in the park you can really have fun from the heart: you can swim in a giant - 3 million liters of water! - a pool with tidal waves, rafting on the "Mammoth Falls", ride a roller coaster, try yourself as a real surfer and just get a lot of pleasure and unforgettable impressions.
