Going to the Middle Kingdom, on business or on an excursion, the traveler thinks about what to bring from China. At first glance, it seems that everything that could be brought from this amazing country has already been delivered almost to the doorstep by nimble Chinese traders.

And yet, it is impossible not to fall in love with China and its great culture, which means that traditional figurines of cats, and sets for the tea ceremony, and, in fact, tea itself in all its types and aromas, and a lot of other things, no less interesting, tasty and real.

What to bring Chinese from China?

The main task of a tourist is to bring an original souvenir that would be characteristic only for this country, reflecting its ancient culture and history. China went down in the history of planet earth as the place of invention of gunpowder, compass, paper and book printing. Gunpowder cannot be of interest to a tourist who chooses a gift for relatives, but its derivatives could well become good souvenirs. I mean various fireworks, sparklers, etc., but the question of crossing the border may arise.

Rice paper, which is still produced in this country today, can become a much more interesting souvenir, especially if it is decorated with hieroglyphs, moreover symbolic, for example, denoting cult concepts - life, love, eternity. The Chinese alphabet can also inspire admiration in the one to whom such a gift is intended. By the way, Chinese characters, denoting not a letter, but a word, can be inscribed on other objects, in which case they can serve as a kind of amulets.

Chinese fans are a matter of special pride for local residents, at one time they were highly valued in Europe and were quite expensive. The Europeans did not use these items for their intended purpose, but used them in the decor of the premises. Modern tourists can do the same by creating a personalized interior in their home using a large fan.

Only tea

It is interesting that the Chinese themselves produce and consume a variety of drinks, but foreign guests have developed a sense of piety and admiration only for tea. Therefore, real tea becomes a source of pride and joy, and one of the most valuable gifts. There is only one difficulty for the guest, how not to get confused and choose the most delicious, because you can see many varieties in any store. The Chinese themselves prefer the following types: green tea; yellow tea; oolong.

Some of them are additionally flavored, but very little black tea is consumed, sent abroad. For a tourist who dreams of impressing relatives with a Chinese drink, the choice becomes easier. In addition to beautiful green or yellow tea boxes, you can buy special tea ceremony kits to bring memories of China back to life in such a delicious way.

The results of Chinese inventions - to Europe

China became the homeland not only for compass and paper, but also for silk, ancient travelers and traders even blazed the Great Silk Road to bring this valuable material to Europe. Modern tourists can also repeat this path and return from the Middle Kingdom, loaded with bundles of the most beautiful and delicate silk. In addition to the fabric itself, you can also bring ready-made things, stylized as national clothes - dresses and shirts.

Porcelain is another important invention of the ancient Chinese, and today it remains one of the most demanded goods. Tourists, despite the fragility of porcelain products, do not give up the idea of making beautiful gifts to family and friends. Moreover, the dishes themselves look amazing, moreover, they are beautifully packaged.

Many foreign guests, getting to the Chinese capital, dream of taking a walk in the park with a beautiful name - the Temple of Heaven. But not only the name attracts them here and not the beautiful exotic vegetation. One of the largest pearl markets in Beijing is located not far from the park. Trade in pearls for the country is quite a profitable business, since jewelry made from it will always be relevant and fashionable. It remains only to warn those wishing to make such an expensive gift to their relatives - purchases must be made in specialized stores or departments. On the beaches, clever fakes are most often offered, not worth half the price stated by the merchant.

Pleasant trifles

Chinese craftsmen have learned with great skill to make small souvenir figurines, small plastic, adored by foreigners. You can buy figurines of girls in national Chinese costumes or amulets, dragon figurines, souvenirs promising wealth, good luck or love.

In general, on the one hand, it will be too easy for a visitor to China to buy souvenirs, as there is a huge selection of different materials, colors and sizes. On the other hand, this is the difficulty - not to get lost in the diversity.
