In this country, they know a lot about entertainment, they understand that, in addition to sun and sea baths, the "intelligent tourist" also wants new experiences, discoveries, and acquaintance with Turkish sights. Each resort offers its own excursion program, also in practice visits to neighboring cities, visits to beautiful corners of nature, archaeological sites.

Here, like no other country in the world, offers a variety of travel options around the country. The most popular are combined ones, when tourists pass part of the route on foot, part by car or bus, the third stage - by boat or other sea vessel. Such routes allow showing several interesting places for guests in one trip.

Excursion programs of different directions, for example, pilgrimage or trade tours, are also widespread in Turkey, options for ordering shopping support are possible, a walk through the bazaars of Istanbul or Ankara also becomes a kind of excursion.

Nature miracle

Such a beautiful definition was given to the natural complex, which is located near the Turkish village of Pamukkale. Seventeen springs, the water of which is saturated with salts of carbonic acid, come out of the ground. Deposits of calcium carbonate contained in the water have formed the dazzling white terraces of so-called travertine, a sight to behold.

Protecting this unique natural phenomenon, the Turks banned tourists from walking in many reservoirs of the Pamukkale complex, protecting them from pollution. Certain bodies of water, on the other hand, were left open for guests to swim. In the vicinity of the complex there are several hotels that use water for various cosmetic procedures. Guests from hotels located in other regions of the country come here for excursions.

Journey to a fairyland

At a fairly large distance from the seaside resorts, in Central Anatolia, there is Cappadocia, an area where excursions leave the most indelible impressions. It's all about the unearthly landscapes that you can see there:

  • valleys consisting of bizarre tuff formations;
  • exotic nature;
  • underground cities, traces of which are lost underground;
  • stone churches with frescoes;
  • hotels located in mysterious caves.

It is hardly worth going here for one day, the road is too far, but a few days may well be enough for both impressions and for photographs for an entire album.

Extreme tourism

One of the most thrilling excursion offers is rafting, descent along mountain, rapidly flowing rivers on various floating facilities, most often inflatable rafts or boats play this role. This type of recreation is suitable for active young people who are not afraid of an adrenaline rush, on the contrary, who dream of testing themselves for strength.

On the other hand, Turkey is very concerned about the safety of guests, such routes, although they seem very dangerous, are actually thought out, the company is accompanied by an experienced instructor who knows all the secrets and whims of the river. The journey is not only a descent, but also an acquaintance with the beautiful nature, admiring the ancient ruins that you meet along the way, swimming in the crystal clear river water, tasting trout dishes. Finally, just a good evening with friends and like-minded people.

Such excursion offers are becoming more and more popular among guests of Turkey, who combine relaxation by the sea with visiting holy places. The program of the routes includes an acquaintance with the Selime Monastery and the church, which seem to grow out of a rock, with ancient Greek religious buildings.

Kingdom of turtles

Another popular excursion in Turkey is associated with the Dalyan resort, its main attraction is the Istuzu beach, or rather, not himself, but its unusual inhabitants. The beach itself is a long spit of sand that runs between the sea and the channel leading to Lake Kecegiz. This place was chosen for nesting by huge caretta turtles.

Of course, during the day these strange animals are difficult to meet on the beach, their favorite time is night, the guides have learned to lure the turtles closer to the boats so that tourists can get to know them better. In addition to giant carriages, here you can see their African cousins, smaller in size and not so beautiful, but they are also a kind of zest for tourists.
