Feira da Ladra Market
Someone Feira da Ladra may not seem the most attractive place to walk, but for collectors and lovers of antiquity, it is the most “heavenly” corner. Here they sell new and used things (sellers place their "trophies" both in small kiosks and directly on bedspreads spread on the ground) in the form of furniture, floor lamps, plaster pedestals, vintage suitcases and clothes, wallets from "Chanel" 1966 production, binoculars, antique photographic equipment, discs, postcards, books, vases, porcelain, household items from different eras, stamps, figurines, jewelry, handicrafts (some sellers tell interesting stories about each item). Even if you do not set yourself the goal of purchasing ceramic azulejo tiles in order to use them to make the lining of your bathtub, buy it anyway as a souvenir.
Flea market in the Belem area
This market is a rather picturesque flea market that unfolds on Sundays (the first and third weekend of the month) near the Jeronimos Monastery from 09:00 to 18:00. In search of "loot" (antiques), you will have to carefully rummage through the ruins with books, bicycles, clothes and other things brought here by local merchants.
Antique shops
Those interested can visit the antique shop “Solar Antiques” (Rua Dom Pedro V, 68-70): here they sell azulejo - tiles with ornate patterns (there are both simple ornaments and complex storylines). So, a fairly modern exhibit can be bought for less than 100 euros, and a small antique fragment dating back to the 15th century - for 500 euros.
Shopping in Lisbon
The Chiado area is considered to be the most attractive place for shopping, where tourists can walk through both exquisite boutiques and street markets. After relaxing in the capital of Portugal, do not forget to buy cork products in the form of fashion accessories before leaving home (pay attention to the Pelcor and Cork & Co stores), Portuguese soap in Art Nouveau or Art Deco packaging (famous brands are Ach Brito and Claus Porto), embroidery (interesting works of authorship are sold in the A Arte de Terra store), wine (from dessert wines, you should buy Moscatel de Setubal).
