Even the Great Wall, which can be seen from space, does not attract as many tourists today as a beach holiday in China.

Choosing a direction
An overview of the best places for a beach holiday in China traditionally opens the island of Hainan, but mainland resorts are gaining more and more popularity among fans of oriental exoticism:
- The city of Dalian in northeastern China is located on the coast of the Yellow Sea. It was founded by Russians, and therefore Russian tourists are especially loved and respected here. Direct flights here are carried out by airlines from Vladivostok, Irkutsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
- Qingdao resort is located just to the south and its seaside zone stretches for 25 km. Hotels of famous world lines are built on local beaches, and the sacred mountain Laoshan is the main local attraction.
- Beidaihe on the shores of the Bohai Bay of the Yellow Sea is so successfully closed from the north by a chain of mountains that its climate can be considered ideal for a beach holiday. Half of the resort's area is made up of green spaces, and therefore Beidaihe is often called a garden city. In the treasury of the resort's achievements is the title "Excellent tourist city of the PRC".

When choosing where to relax on the beach in China, most travelers stay on Hainan Island. Reviews of tourists, photos of local landscapes and pleasant prices for tours make the island's resorts the most popular and famous in the Middle Kingdom.
Once upon a time rich nobles were exiled to Hainan, and today those who appreciate the ideal combination of price and quality, in addition to magnificent landscapes and oriental hospitality, aspire here.
There are four main tourist zones on the island, and each of them has its own characteristics:
- Sanya is often referred to as the Chinese Hawaii. Even in the middle of winter, you can comfortably relax and sunbathe here: the temperature values of air and water in January during the day are kept at around + 25 ° С. In summer, the thermometer reaches + 33 ° C.
- Wealthy tourists prefer to stay at the Yalongwan resort. The sand here is the whitest, the sea is clean, and the choice of diving centers is the most diverse. There are few noisy entertainments, and the hotels are distinguished by a special level of service.
- Dadonghai is famous for its inexpensive seaside hotels and the right waves for surfers. But for families with small children it is not very convenient here - strong winds can interfere with safe swimming.
- Sanyavan boasts pretty scenery and proximity to the airport. True, local hotels are being built across the street from the beach, but this is not an obstacle for active tourists.
Weather features of a beach holiday in China
The Dalian resort lies in a temperate climate zone, and the weather here is significantly influenced by the monsoons. The hottest month on its coast is August, when the daytime temperature can reach + 29 ° С. The beach season lasts from early June to early October. At the same time, the resort receives the maximum amount of precipitation.
The swimming season in Qingdao begins at the end of May and tourists stay on its beaches until mid-autumn. The rainiest month here is July, and the hottest month is August, when the thermometers show up to + 32 ° С.
When choosing tours to Beidaihe, you should remember that its climate is quite humid, and the air temperature at the height of summer can rise to + 30 ° C.
Practical information
All 5-star hotels in the beach areas of China are located on the first coastline, but from any "four" you usually have to go a little further to the sea. The comfort of hotels with five and four stars on the facade is also strikingly different. In order not to be mistaken with the choice of a hotel, it is worth studying the photos and reviews of previous guests.
The beaches in the resorts of China are municipal, equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers. On weekends, locals come to the sea, and therefore finding a free space on the beach can be difficult.
Beach holidays in China are often combined with medical treatment. Many hotels have not only spas but also traditional Chinese medicine centers. Some of the treatment programs are based on the use of thermal waters, the springs of which are located on the island of Hainan.
