Finland is interesting for vacationers with opportunities for organizing ecotourism and fishing. In addition, they will be pleasantly surprised when they are invited to plunge into the world of winter and water activities, as well as visit the waterfalls of Finland.

Imatrankoski

This waterfall (its height is 18 m), which has the nickname “Finnish Niagara”, is formed by the Vuoksa River. Guests are invited to admire Imatrankoski at certain hours (it is “turned on” to the sound of music for 17 minutes) - from the beginning of June to the end of August every day at 7 pm, and on Sundays at 3 pm.

It is worth noting that in August, any traveler will be able to attend a special show, during which a raft is launched downstream of the waterfall (a huge fire is kindled on it). And on December 25 and 31, to the festive climax, the waterfall is not only “turned on”, but also fireworks are launched next to it (viewing platforms are provided for observation).

The waterfall is also interesting because here everyone will have the opportunity to experience such an attraction as flying on a cable over a dry (20 euros) and seething (35 euros) canyon (upside down - 50 euros).

As for the vicinity of Imatrankoski, here those who wish are offered to ride on the river on rented boats, as well as to go fishing (it will be possible to catch pike, salmon, perch, but it should be borne in mind that sport fishing is widespread in Finland, which means that the fish will have to be released on will), having previously issued a fishing permit (1 day - 7 euros, 1 week - 12 euros).

Hepokengyas

A visit to this 24-meter waterfall (its location is the hilly Kainuu ridge, which is famous for its lush nature) will not cause difficulties even for tourists traveling with small children (it can be viewed from below and from above thanks to the paved wooden decks).

Komulankengas

The 6-meter waterfall is located on the Syväjoki River: you can get to Komulankengäs by a bridge across this river. It is worth noting that there is a popular hiking trail next to the waterfall.

Pihtsuskengas

Everyone who comes to this 17-meter waterfall admires the local landscapes, organizes a picnic break here (and sometimes stays for a couple of days), fish in the river, and walks in the pine forest.

Auttinkengas

The stream of this waterfall falls from a height of 16 m. When getting to Auttinkengäs from Rovaniemi, travelers will come across an observation tower and a suspension bridge on their way. It is worth noting that hiking trails and places where you can relax and fry meat have been arranged here especially for tourists. Guests should climb to the observation deck, which is located above the waterfall, on the top of the hill - from there, a wonderful panorama of the river and the forest opens.
