Great Britain is interesting for tourists with idyllic landscapes and cozy villages of Northern Ireland, medieval castles in Wales, lakes and mountains of Scotland, cathedrals of England … And the managers of travel agencies will certainly offer travelers to include in their leisure program the inspection of such natural objects as the waterfalls of Great Britain.
Easa’Chual Aluinn waterfall
“Beautiful Spit Waterfall” reaches a height of 200 m - it is 3 times higher than Niagara Falls (the difference is that Easa’Chual Aluinn is a“small stream”). If you move along the southern side of Lake Loch Glencoul, the path to the foot of the waterfall will take about 1.5 hours.
Pistyll Rhaeadr
You can admire this 80-meter waterfall in any month of the year (it will take at least 20 minutes to climb to the top of the cliff). Here tourists will find a bridge - crossing it, they will go deeper into the forest (it is recommended to plan a walk along forest paths on a fine day). It is worth noting that at the foot of Pistyll Rhaeadr, vacationers are welcomed in a teahouse (from here a beautiful view of the waterfall opens) - there they will be offered delicious snacks and drinks, and in the cold months they will sit next to a warm fireplace to warm up.
Aira force
This waterfall is only 1 km away from Lake Ullswater, and a bridge hangs over it, from which travelers can admire the water falling from a 20-meter height. Not far from the waterfall, you should find the “Wish Tree” - it is customary to place a coin in the trunk of this fallen tree after making a wish. Tip: it is recommended to be here in early spring, during the flowering of wild daffodils on the surrounding slopes and lawns
Kilt rock
Powerful streams of this waterfall fall down from a height of 90 meters straight into the Atlantic Ocean. Not only artists from all over the world strive to get here to capture Kilt Rock in their paintings, but also a considerable number of tourists (visiting this waterfall is popular among hikers). The best time to visit is in the morning, when everyone has a chance to admire the emerging rainbow in good weather (it is worth checking the weather forecast, since strong winds and fogs often blow here, which interferes with a full inspection of the waterfall).
High force
The glory of the High Force, falling from a 20-meter height, was brought by the artist Joseph Turner, who immortalized this waterfall in his works.
