A beach vacation can be varied and active, if, in addition to sunbathing, you regularly arrange outings in the vicinity of the selected resort. When asked where to go from Evpatoria, the map of Crimea gives an obvious answer - to Sevastopol, Saki and Cape Tarkhankut.
To the hero city
Sevastopol and Evpatoria are separated by only 100 km along the highway, and therefore most of the tourists on the local beaches usually go on an excursion to the hero city. You can talk about Sevastopol for a long time, but it is better to see its sights with your own eyes.
The ancient ruins of Chersonesos are the most ancient point on the tourist map of the city. The excavations of the ancient Greek metropolis attract the attention of both history buffs and fans of military art. In addition to antique columns, you can see captured cannons from the times of the Russian-Turkish war.
Those interested in military history will find the expositions of the Black Sea Fleet Museum and the complex "/>
You can get to Sevastopol from Evpatoria on your own by car or by bus. Travel time will be about two hours. The first flight leaves at 6 am, buses arrive at the Severnaya bus station.
To the healing mud
To go to Saki, even for one day, means to see the famous balneological resort of Crimea, where the first clinic was opened back in 1827. The magic mud of Lake Saki has been used to treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system since time immemorial, and today you can order a course of procedures in any of the sanatoriums here or enjoy medical and cosmetic wraps in local spas.
Only 22 km separate the city from Evpatoria. You can get here by commuter train or regular bus. There are many sandy beaches near Saki, where even in the season there are not too many tourists. Among the attractions are the Greco-Scythian settlement of Kara-Tobe and the Resort Park, where about a hundred species of trees and shrubs have been planted.
To the Mecca of divers
The westernmost point of the Crimean Peninsula is Cape Tarkhankut. If you do not know where to go from Evpatoria to see the clear sea and relax away from the noisy crowds of tourists, Tarkhankut is perfect for you.
Picturesque landscapes, inaccessible rocks, underwater caves and a rich underwater world attract divers, underwater photographers and fans of untouched Crimean nature to the peninsula.
The best way to get to the cape is by car or by bus from Evpatoria to the village of Olenevka. The distance is about 90 km. You can stop overnight here either in the village itself or in a tent on the cape.
