All the beauties of the Balkans are collected in the national parks of Serbia, which enjoy constant attention and immense popularity among tourists. The very first of them appeared in the register of specially protected objects back in 1960, which gave impetus to the development of a campaign to protect the environment in the Balkan republic.
In the mirror of the past
Historians call Fruska Gora National Park of Serbia "a mirror of the geological past." The reason for this is the fossilized remains of animals belonging to 160 ancient species found on the territory of the mountain range. According to paleontologists, they have lain in the ground for over 120 million years. This national park of Serbia also harbors a lot of archaeological monuments from different eras. For example, here you can see ancient monasteries of the 15th-17th centuries and the sites of ancient people from the Neolithic and Bronze Age.
The park administration is located in the center in the village of Sremska-Kamenitsa at the address: Zmayev trg 1.

Country of gorges and canyons
The Racha, Derwenta and White Rzav rivers, overcoming the thickness of the Tara mountain formed by limestone, created a network of deep and picturesque gorges and canyons. This is how unique conditions for the existence of special plants and animals were created, now protected in the national park of Serbia called Tara.
All information about the park and the rules for visiting it can be obtained from May to October at the information center. It is located at the main entrance on the shore of Lake Perućac. Exact address: JP National Park Tara, Milenka Topalovica, 3, Bajina Basta, Serbia.
The administration provides guests with maps, fishing permits and demonstrates a popular science film about the nature of the park. Here they rent bicycles and even stay overnight - the center has several hotel rooms.
In Tara, you can go hiking, cycling, fishing, picnicking or sunbathing on the shores of the lake.
