Russian travelers have laid tourist trails in the Czech Republic for a long time. Here you can walk along the Prague bridges, and treatment on the waters in Karlovy Vary, and a pleasant stay in the ski resorts in the Tatras. You can get to some airports in the Czech Republic from Moscow in just 2.5 hours, especially since both Aeroflot and Czech Airlines operate direct flights.

International airports of the Czech Republic

In addition to the capital, four airports of the country have the right to receive international passengers:

  • The air gate in Karlovy Vary is located 6 km to the southeast, and the city where the airport is located has been famous for its healing springs for several centuries.
  • More than half a million passengers pass annually through the Czech airport in Brno. From here, the low-cost airline Ryanair flies to London, the planes of its counterpart Wizz Air to Eindhoven, and the seasonal Travel Service Airlines flights to warm countries. Details here - www.airport-brno.cz.
  • Military air shows are often held in Ostrava, but Leos Janacek Airport also performs civil duties quite responsibly. The "assortment" of local flights resembles the schedule in Brno, with the only difference that from here you can also fly to Dusseldorf on the wings of Czech Airlines. • The military air gate in Pardubice is also allowed to receive civil flights, and therefore charters from southern Europe regularly land here during the summer season. From Pardubice you can fly to Burgas, Ercan, Antalya and the Greek island of Rhodes. You can get acquainted with the peculiarities of work on the website - www.airport-pardubice.cz.

Metropolitan direction

Vaclav Havel Airport has an excellent reputation not only in Europe. It receives dozens of airline flights every day from many cities around the world. Czech Airlines and Wizz Air are based here, and the aircraft of Aeroflot and Russia fly from Moscow and St. Petersburg, respectively. Terminal 1 also serves passengers of another domestic carrier - S7 delivers everyone from Novosibirsk to Prague. Terminal 1 is used to service departures outside the Schengen area, while Terminal 2 is used for passengers from EU member states.

Transfer from the capital airport of the Czech Republic is possible both by taxi and by public transport. Buses on routes 100 and 119 will take passengers in less than 20 minutes to Prague metro lines B and A, respectively. Transport starts at 5.30 and ends at 23.30. Night buses on route 510 carry passengers to the capital from midnight to 04.00.

From Terminal 1 you can take a direct Student Agency bus to Karlovy Vary.

To healing springs

Karlovy Vary Airport is connected to Moscow by Aeroflot and Czech Airlines flights and is considered the most "Russian" in the country. The vast majority of its passengers are Russian citizens.
