The best viewpoints in Prague
Those who like to walk along the streets of Prague and tourists who have a rest here not for the first time advise by all means to visit the following observation points of Prague:
- Petrishinskaya Observation Tower, which is considered the highest point in the city. The tower itself is located on a hill 318 meters high, the height of the tower is 80 meters. There are two observation decks in it, however, at a height of 55 meters. From here, a gorgeous panoramic view of the entire city opens, including the famous Charles Bridge and the Vltava River. And in good and clear weather, you can even see the Krkonoše Mountains located 150 km from Prague. You can get to the site in two ways - by the stairs, spiraling around the tower, and by an elevator (for a fee). At the foot of the tower there are gorgeous Petrishinski gardens and a rose garden, which have a wonderful view from above!
- Lookout tower of the Cathedral of St. Nicholas (St. Mikulas). Despite the name given to the object, it is not and has never entered directly into the cathedral complex, being the property of the city. Initially, he performed guard and defensive functions. The observation deck is located at a height of 65 meters, the balcony above the clock tower allows you to see the city from a bird's eye view. The view of the surrounding area, rich in sights, allows you not only to enjoy the traditional pictures of the Czech capital, but also literally "catch the spirit of old Prague".
- The observation deck, located on the tower of the Cathedral of St. Vitus. This is the most popular and largest cathedral in Prague, and the observation deck on it is considered the second highest in height after Petrishinsky hill and tower. The height of the tower of the cathedral is 96 meters, the platform for viewing the city is located a little lower. The bottom line is that you have to climb here on foot, overcoming 300 steps (there is no lift, but on the way up there are several sites for rest and respite). From here the whole city - both Old and New Prague as if in the palm of your hand, so clearly and accurately you can see not only famous sights, but also the streets of the city.
