The holiday season in China is year-round - in different resorts, the tourist season begins at different times. So, most cities are best visited in early autumn or late spring, explore Tibet: in May - October, and rest on Hainan Island - in November - May.
Features of rest in Chinese resorts by seasons
- Spring: at this time of the year, the climate in different regions of the country can vary significantly (in Shanghai +9, and in Hainan +20 degrees). But in general, spring, starting in April, is conducive to sightseeing.
- Summer: Summer is warm in China and very hot in some regions. But sometimes typhoons and hurricanes hit the country, especially the southern regions, making the sea rough.

At this time of the year in the Chinese resorts you can go in for skiing - the country has mountain ranges and ski resorts. Yabuli Ski Resort operates from November to March, and Beidahu and Chengbai from November to April. If you want to bask in the sun and swim in the sea, then you should visit Hainan Island in winter: it is warm here throughout the winter (+ 22-25 degrees).
Beach season in China
You can get a tan and swim in the resorts of the Yellow Sea (Bohai Bay), as well as the East China and South China Seas.
In general, the swimming season in China lasts from June to October, but, for example, on the shores of the Bohai Bay (Qinhuangdao city with the Beidaihe resort, Qingdao resort city) you can swim from May to September. For recreation, you can choose the island of Hainan, the main beaches of which are located in and around the city of Sanya: not only beach, but also health-improving recreation is available here (at your service - centers of traditional Chinese medicine).
Diving
The diving season in China coincides with the beach season. An excellent place for diving is Wuzhizhou Island (Haitang Bay) and the Hainan water area, where you can meet barracuda and sea bass, as well as go underwater hunting.
