Prices in Spain are slightly higher than in Portugal and are practically at the same level as in Greece.
It is worth noting that prices vary depending on the city of visit (prices in Madrid are higher than in other cities) and the season (the cost of a holiday in the “high” season is higher).
Shopping and souvenirs
The most popular place for shopping is Barcelona: it will delight you with pleasant prices for famous brands.
Clothes of famous Italian and other foreign brands (Lacoste, Versace, Burberry) should be found in the boutiques of local shopping centers and outlets.
Prices in Spanish stores are lower than in Moscow, especially if you visit them during the sales season (January-February, July-August).
From Spain you should bring:
- porcelain figurines, figurines of bulls, Spanish castanets and fans, glassware;
- leather goods, clothing and footwear of world brands, accessories, cosmetics, jewelry with pearls;
- olive oil, spices, jamon, chocolate, candied violets, Spanish wine (1 liter of wine costs about 12-18 euros).
In Spain, you can buy mink or arctic fox coats - prices here start from 500 euros.
Excursions
If you decide to walk through the museums without a guide, you will pay 7-10 euros for the entrance, 3-5 euros for the entrance to cathedrals and temples, and you can enjoy watching Spanish dances for at least 30 euros.
You can go on a sightseeing tour of Barcelona in a small car called Goucar (2-seater 3-wheel vehicle with GPS): wherever you go, it will notify you where you are and where to turn to see the next attraction.
The approximate cost of the excursion is from 15 euros.
Entertainment
The whole family should go to the unique zoo “Bio-Park Valencia” - there are no cages, so the animals walk freely in the park, allowing visitors to chat with them and take pictures of them.
The approximate cost of an adult ticket is 20 euros, and a child ticket is 15 euros.
Transport
Traveling by public transport will cost you about 1-2 euros (buses run from 06:00 to 24:00 with an interval of 10-15 minutes). And for renting a car, you will pay at least 140 euros for 3 days or 215 euros - for 5 days.
If you decide to get to know Spanish cities on a tourist bus, then for a whole day of such a trip you will pay about 23 euros (you can get off these buses, see the sights, and then go further, taking another bus from the same company).
Daily expenses on holidays in Spain depend on your budget: if you live in an inexpensive hotel or hostel, eat in cheap cafes and fast food establishments, travel by public transport, then you can keep within 40-50 euros. But the most optimal budget is 100-150 euros per day for 1 person (for this money, you can afford to eat delicious food in decent cafes, go sightseeing and stay in a more comfortable hotel).
