The popularization of winter sports has led to the fact that ski resorts in Russia are developing by leaps and bounds, and active recreation centers are being built even where the mountains are not too high. In most regions of our country, it is already possible to choose a resort where it is pleasant to spend winter holidays and learn the basics of skiing in order to return home with positive impressions and a charge of vivacity and health.
Krasnodar region

There are four snowparks at the resort, there are half pipes and jumps, which means that snowboarders are also welcome guests here. Another important circumstance in favor of choosing the best resort in Russia is the opportunity for off-piste skiing: virgin slopes are surrounded by beautiful landscapes, and professional guides do not let you go astray.
There is also plenty of entertainment in Rosa Khutor - from casinos and bowling to spas and nightclubs.
Gorki City
The all-season resort Gorki Gorod has a network of sports facilities built at various levels of altitude - from 540 to 2340 meters above sea level. Due to the peculiarities of the geography and climate, the resort is ready to offer the longest skiing season in the Krasnodar Territory: you can practice winter sports here from the first days of December until the May holidays.
The length of the ski slopes is 30 km, of which three kilometers are illuminated in the evenings, and five kilometers are artificially snowed. Skiers are taken to the start of the course by 11 lifts capable of moving up to 2,500 passengers every hour.
There are several schools and children's ski clubs in Gorki Gorod, sports equipment is rented out, and the slopes are marked with all the colors of the ski rainbow - from green to black.

GTZ Gazprom

Caucasus

Elbrus
The ski slopes of two resorts - Cheget and Elbrus Azau are concentrated in the vicinity of the highest peak in Europe. The peculiarity of Elbrus Azau is the presence of panoramic slopes, because the Caucasus is one of the most beautiful mountain systems of the planet and active recreation at its resorts is not only useful, but also certainly pleasant.
The après-ski program includes snowmobiling and horseback riding, paragliding, wellness programs at spa centers based on mineral springs and an introduction to the best local forge dishes served in the resort's many restaurants.
Dombay
A resort at the foot of the Greater Caucasus, Dombay is popular with both skiers and snowboarders. Located at an altitude of 1600 m, it offers excellent quality skiing from the second half of December to mid-spring.
The difference in altitude at the resort exceeds one and a half kilometers, and its tracks stretch for 25 km: there are almost equal numbers of "green", "blue" and "black" and a little more - "red". Mostly beginner skiers ride on Nikolaevskaya Sopka. The distance is only half a kilometer, the height difference is 130 m. You can spend time "after the mountain" in the spa center "Kolodets" in Bobrovy Log, where guests are provided with various personal care services.
Smooth

Mount Slizun in the Kemerovo region is part of the Salair Ridge, and its slopes serve as an excellent base for ski slopes. Manzherok
Every year at the end of December, Malaya Sinyukha Mountain in the Altai Republic becomes a place of pilgrimage for thousands of winter sports fans: the Manzherok ski resort is organized on its slopes, the skiing season on the slopes of which continues until the last days of March.

In Jalgor, you can spend time with the whole family: the resort has slopes for both adults and children, and in the sports school, experienced instructors put kids on skis from the age of four. The elevation difference in Yalgor is small - only a hundred meters, but of the two kilometers of its slopes, one fourth is marked in black and is intended for very experienced skiers.
The possibilities of the cultural program for vacationers in Yalgor can only be envied: excursions to Kizhi and authentic villages, where masterpieces of wooden architecture have been preserved, the study of historical, architectural, archaeological sites and natural attractions of the Russian North, are certainly included in the lists of proposals for tourists.

Another inexpensive family resort in the Russian north is Malinovka in the Arkhangelsk region, where the climate allows skiing for quite a long time: from the last days of November to mid-April. Krasnaya Sopka and Edelweiss
