Description of the attraction
One of the most famous and largest wineries in Cyprus - the KEO plant - was founded back in 1927. It is located in Limassol, about a kilometer from the old port. Initially, it was a very small production, which over the years has successfully developed and mastered new markets. In 1951, the company opened its first brewery and produced about 300,000 gallons of this intoxicating drink annually. Today, more than 30 thousand hectoliters of beer are produced under the KEO brand every month.
The products of this brand are well known almost all over the world - KEO produces and also exports not only its wines and beer, but also liqueurs, cognac, mineral water, fruit juices and canned fruits and vegetables to more than three dozen countries in Europe, America and the Middle East.
Most of all, this plant is famous for its elite wine "Commandaria" from sweet grapes, centuries ago recognized as the "Apostle of all wines", the recipe of which is considered one of the most ancient.
Employees of the enterprise are happy to conduct excursions around the plant for everyone, during which you can see the large wine cellars and production workshops, watch the brewing process, and at the end of the tour taste the delicious wines of Cyprus - from the weakest and sweetest to the strongest. And what is remarkable, both the excursion and the tasting are completely free. In addition, you can buy your favorite drink there, and it will cost an order of magnitude cheaper than in any other place in Limassol.

Plant In fact, of course, there is a plant. But this is a common industrial facility. Excursions are carried out at wineries somewhere far away in the Troodos mountains and there they have their own schedule for receiving tourists. But I liked the old delivery car at the factory entrance.
