The Museum of the History of the City of Mogilev was opened in 1990 in the restored City Hall on the central square of the city. The Town Hall and the Museum of the History of the City are the hallmark of Mogilev. Here you can learn in detail about its history from the moment of its inception to the present day. The archaeological exposition widely presents the Slavic heritage of the Belarusian people. Axes of the Stone Age 2-3 millennia BC, found at the sites of ancient people on the territory of Mogilev. Slavic amulets, amulets, lunettes, national Slavic women's and men's jewelry.

The Mogilev Museum houses a large collection of unique early printed books and handwritten scrolls, some of which date back to the 18th century.
