Description of the attraction
One of the most mysterious and popular sights of the Urals is an ice cave near the city of Kungur. The cave was formed about 10-12 thousand years ago and continues to grow and develop to this day. The length of the Kungur Ice Cave is about 5,700 meters, while only 1,500 meters are open for tourists to see (along this length, the lights are on for entertainment and the paths have been cleared). There are 48 grottoes in the cave, one of which (Geographers) has a volume of 50 thousand cubic meters, more than 60 lakes and 146 so-called "organ pipes" - high mines, up to 22 meters high, reaching almost to the surface.
Semyon Remezov in 1703 was the first to draw up a plan for the Kungur cave, and later V. N. Tatishchev gave a correct explanation of the origin of underground voids. The first excursions to the Ice Tale were organized by AT Khlebnikov (the grandson of the famous traveler), who rented the attraction from local peasants in the middle of the nineteenth century.
Like all the mysterious places of the planet, the Kungur Ice Cave has over time "overgrown" with legends. According to one of them, the difficult anhydrite steps in front of the Central Grotto are called "Ladies Tears" in honor of the daughter of the German princess Louise, who broke her knee when visiting the cave. Later, when the girl grew up, she married the Swedish king, becoming a real queen and elder sister of the last empress of Russia - Alexandra Fedorovna.
At the top of the ice cave mountain there is an archaeological monument "Ermakovo settlement", according to the legend of the local population, located at the wintering place of Yermak's squad before the trip to Siberia.
In 2011, the Kungur Ice Cave entered the top ten most impressive caves in the world.

Ice beauty in danger I also really liked the excursion to the cave. But here they do not say that a city dump has formed over the cave for several years, which smokes and poisons the air, soil, and groundwater. The landfill was closed, but for some reason the work was not completed. And now a paradoxical situation has developed …

Nice, but beauty is spoiled by garbage:( I went to look at the ice cave almost a year ago, and I still hear from those who were just recently that there is still a pile of rubbish, which was arranged near the cave. I definitely advise everyone to go and see the cave, because you won't see this anywhere else, especially at home, but …

I want to walk for hours I really want to walk around the Kungur Ice Cave for hours, it's so beautiful there. One gets the impression that you got into a fairy tale, as shown in the films, all sorts of magic caves with various crystals. Everything is fine there, except for the presence of dirt that needs to be removed, but even then I do not understand …

I advise everyone! After visiting the Kungur Ice Cave, I advise everyone to go there, because the beauty is incredible, there is no such thing around, and there is no such thing in the world, at least I do not know. I am more than sure that no one will regret such a trip, because the road is worth visiting at least once, you will see …
