Description of the attraction

Villa Miralago is located on the northern shore of Lake Wörthersee in the town of Pertschach in Carinthia. The project of this palace was developed by the famous architect Karl Langammer, and the building itself was built in 1893. In those days it was called Villa Lugg on the Lake. The customer and the first owner of the Villa Miralago was an industrialist from Vienna Ludwig Urban, so most often his summer residence was called by the locals "Villa Ludwig Urban". The Urban family is still one of the wealthiest and most respected in Austria. It owns several well-known brands that generate considerable income.

As you know, in the town of Perchakh there are still about 10-15 year-old villas built in the late 19th - early 20th centuries. Among them are the villas Werth, Seehort and Seefried. Villa Miralago, according to some experts, is considered the most spectacular and beautiful on Lake Wörthersee.

It was built in a 6,500 sq. m right on the shore of the lake. The lake-side façade is different from other façades. It is decorated with two massive bay windows, giving the whole building a majesty and representativeness. The complex of Villa Miralago also includes an octagonal wooden house for storing boats. This pavilion is one of the few surviving buildings of this type in Carinthia.

Villa Miralago, like the nearby Villa Werth, has now been converted into a luxury hotel. It offers its guests 6 suites and 6 double rooms. There are four well-groomed golf courses within a short drive from the villa and there is a private beach near the hotel.
