One of the most visited museums in Siauliai is the Museum of Photography, which is located on the same street as the Bicycle Museum. The Photomuseum was founded in 1973. By 1990, the third exposition had already been prepared, which presents the history of Lithuanian photography, and also introduces photographic art from the moment it appeared, as well as the world of modern photography.
The museum has exhibitions of works by the most famous photographic artists of all time. Some stands are dedicated only to popular Lithuanian photographers: J. Chehavicius, A. Jurasaitis, J. Bulgak, K. Baulas, P. Karpavicius, B. Burachas.
The museum has exhibits of photographic equipment, which have been constantly used by Lithuanian photographers of many generations and for a long time. In addition, the Museum of Photography, in addition to exhibitions and permanent exhibitions, often hosts screenings of famous films.
