Naturally, when it came to the construction of a monument dedicated to the ninetieth anniversary of the creation of the Ukrainian Criminal Investigation Department, the question of what this monument should be like did not even arise. Any passer-by who is in the slightest degree familiar with the film will easily recognize the figures of the monument to the heroes of Vysotsky and Konkin, only cast in bronze. Film fans even recognize a scene from the film - this is the moment when Zheglov and Sharapov approach the Bolshoi Theater, intending to catch a repeat offender named Ruchechnik in the act. It is not surprising that the funds for the monument were raised thanks not only to sponsors, but also to veteran organizations and contributions from the then employees of internal affairs.
The monument is located near the building in which the Ministry of Internal Affairs is located, somewhat off the beaten tourist routes, which is not bad, since it allows you to enjoy the composition in a calm atmosphere.
