Description of the attraction
Isabela Nature Reserve, located on the Philippine island of Luzon, is located about 405 km from Manila and 15 km from the town of Ilagan. It consists of several cluster sites: Santa Victoria Caves, Fuyot Springs National Park, Mount Palanan and Pinzal Falls. In 2009, the local government signed an agreement with 28 non-governmental organizations, pledging to preserve 200 hectares of unspoiled nature in the reserve, which is of great interest for eco-tourism. In the same year, the construction of several objects of tourist infrastructure was completed on the territory of the reserve.
Fuyot Springs National Park is famous for its wildlife and amazing flora. And the limestone caves of Santa Victoria, located at the foot of the Sierra Madre mountain range, attract with their unique rock formations and underground waterfalls. Once upon a time in these caves the inhabitants lived the tribes of the indigenous inhabitants of these places - agta and dumagat. Traces of their stay here are still visible today and are of historical and archaeological value. After walking through the caves, you can go down to the Pinzal waterfalls. On the territory of the reserve you can also go rock climbing, go mountain biking, horseback riding or rafting.
On the territory of the reserve, there is an Ecological School, where you can listen to lectures about the amazing nature of these places, plant a plant and receive a corresponding certificate.
