Description of the attraction
This unusual museum, dedicated to the fairy-tale characters of the books of the writer Tove Jansson, is located on the underground floor of the city library (its building is called “capercaillie” due to its shape).
A cozy twilight reigns in the halls of the museum, creating a fantastic atmosphere of a magical valley in which a cheerful family of mummy trolls lives. The museum collection includes 2000 drawings, sketches, book illustrations made by the writer herself, not only for stories about trolls, but also for the works of Lewis Carroll and J. Tolkien.
Here are presented dolls depicting the inhabitants of the valley of mummies-trolls, fabulous scenes from their lives, models of 2 mummies are built.
The highlight of this collection is a large blue house, 2.5 meters high, in which each of the 5 floors, from the bathroom to the living room, has lighting, and a treasure is hidden in the corner of a secret corridor. The lighthouse, installed on the tower of the dancing roof, always emits a bright light. The interior decoration of this fabulous dwelling can be examined in detail using a computer program. All you need to do is make yourself comfortable and immerse yourself in the magical world of these cute and strange creatures.
