Description of the attraction
The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park is considered the best in the collection of attractions of the Botanical Garden (another name for Lake Park). It is located near the central lake of the park area.
On an area of 80 thousand square meters, among flowering lianas, flowers with unique smells, six thousand of these beautiful creatures live and flutter. For them, the natural habitat is completely recreated - the atmosphere of the rainforest. Over 15,000 plants from the Malaysian tropics have been planted in the butterfly park, turning it into a mini botanical garden. The park will be diversified by small ponds with Japanese koi fish and freshwater turtles. The net above the park is stretched high enough to give the butterflies the illusion of complete freedom. Along the paths, there are tables with slices of bananas and pineapples, the juice of which is served to the main inhabitants of the park. Near these "feeders" there is an opportunity to examine them in detail.
Exotic butterflies of the most amazing colors and various sizes represent 120 species. There is a special nursery for their reproduction in the park.
Despite the high humidity, the beauty of the park is associated with an earthly paradise. Quite deservedly, Discovery TV, which has 200 million viewers around the world, said that of all the butterfly parks, none can match this.
There is a museum of entomology on the territory of the park. Its exposition offers for inspection a huge collection of butterflies from other continents, as well as insects from all over the world. Lizards of incredible shapes and colors, scorpions, spiders, beetles and frogs live in special aquariums. Unlike the fluttering butterflies, this set of terrestrial creatures will not be of interest to every visitor.
Curious tourists can get detailed information about butterflies at the exhibition center. A souvenir shop at the gate outside the park offers a wide range of glass-covered butterfly kits to commemorate your visit to the park.
