Description of the attraction
The resort park in Kislovodsk is a cultural heritage site. Located along the Olkhovka River. The park was founded in 1823; today it covers an area of more than 1000 hectares.
Conventionally, the Kislovodsk Medical Park can be divided into three large parts. The lower park includes the Narzan Gallery and stretches all the way to the Rose Square and the Pine Hill. Further - the middle part of the park (up to the Temple of Air) and the upper one.
The park is equipped with shady alleys, along which there are benches, groves and glades, flower beds of various shapes are laid out. It is worth noting that the park contains more than 250 different species of trees and shrubs, many of which are quite rare. Here you can find beech, hornbeam, oak, alder and larch; giant trees that are more than 100 years old have survived in the park to this day. Every spring, numerous flowers are planted in the park, which delight visitors with their appearance until late autumn.
Artificial cascades of waterfalls have been created on the Olkhovka River flowing through the park. In addition, the park is decorated with the Mirror Pond and the Glass Stream. In the upper part of the park there is a summer natural solarium, cozy cafes, attractions for children and adults. There is also the Temple of Air, which is a wonderful viewing platform and a control point of the 34th station of the terrencourt route. In the immediate vicinity of the Temple of Air, there is a public outdoor pool, Rose Valley. From here a view of Elbrus and the peaks of the Caucasian ridge opens up.
The total length of landscaped trails in the park is more than 70 kilometers. Kislovodsk Park is considered one of the best in the country, it is visited by a large number of tourists every year, and locals also like to spend time here.
