Description of the attraction
The city lake or, as it is also called, the Stanislav Sea, appeared in the city in 1995. This lake is artificial, and it was formed on the site of the former Potocki menagerie. The Polish gentry used to love to hunt in these fields. And during the times of the Soviet Union, several artificial ponds were made on the territory of the menagerie, which were connected with the help of locks to the Bystritsa River. It was the water from this river that the lakes were filled with.
Today, the city lake is a favorite resting place not only for local residents, but also for guests. It is pleasant to spend a hot summer day here, swimming in cool water, boating or relaxing in the shade of trees. The lake is also beautiful in the spring-autumn period. Well, perhaps the most romantic and famous place on the lake is the Bridge of Love. People come here to confess their love, be photographed during the wedding, and just enjoy the magnificent view of the lake.
In the near future, the city administration plans to carry out large-scale works on the improvement of the lake, strengthening of the banks, and the construction of new treatment canals. The program aims to improve the condition of the lake's water.
