Description of the attraction

The Church of the Life-Giving Trinity, located on Kirov Street near the coast, is one of the city's attractions. Often locals also call it the Holy Trinity or Trinity Church.

Since 1898 on the Adler cape there was a temple of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, which was demolished in 1947. There was no other temple in this city. In 1991, an Orthodox community was created, for which the former building of the Aeroflot agency was allocated by the decision of the Adler regional executive committee. It was here, after the building was renovated, that divine services were held.

In July 1993. Archbishop Isidor of Kuban and Yekaterinodar blessed the beginning of the construction of the Church of the Holy Trinity and personally laid the foundation stone for the building of the future church. Its construction was completed in 1998. The authors of this project were the specialists of Ecopolis LLC, which was engaged in the construction of the temple.

The church was consecrated in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity. In 1998, the consecration of the chapel in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" took place. The iconostasis of the main church was decorated by the icon painter Viktor Symonenko and his students.

The Church of the Life-Giving Trinity is a one-story brick building with a huge head on the drum of the main volume. Above the portal of the entrance, made in the form of an open balcony, there is a bell tower of the temple, topped with a large dome with a cross. On the sides, the temple is decorated with columns supporting the balcony of the belfry. There is a church shop at the temple.

In front of the building of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity, there is a beautiful rotunda pavilion on the square.
