February is a month when severe frosts still persist in our region, and we really want spring, bright colors, fragrant flowers, blue sea and sky. It is not surprising that many people try to bring spring closer by traveling to distant lands. Where to go in February 2020, you should think in advance in order to order tickets and book hotels on time.
Escape from the cold and snow is possible in the tropics, where postcard landscapes with palm trees and white beaches are commonplace. In Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, your vacation will be inexpensive and enjoyable. Staying in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Cuba will cost a little more.
February is the month of festivals. Event tourism is becoming more and more fashionable now. Tourists in large numbers go to the Brazilian, Venetian, Cologne carnivals, to the holidays of flowers in Nice and lemons in Menton. This is a great opportunity to have amazing experiences, take fantastic pictures and then entertain friends for a long time with stories about the best vacation in the world.
In European cities where there are no festivities, February is calm and quiet. Christmas and New Year's holidays are long over, tourists from Europe take time out until spring, so the end of winter is perfect for a leisurely sightseeing tour of European attractions. Even in major tourist centers such as Geneva and Florence, in February it will be uncrowded and cozy.
There is no reason to expect the absence of tourists in ski resorts in February. On the contrary, the high season is in full swing here. Skiing continues at the bases of Austria, Italy, France, Andorra. In Russia, you can also find excellent ski resorts, where the cost of accommodation and ski passes will be much lower than in Europe.
Beach vacation at the sea in February
When choosing a resort for beach relaxation in February, focus only on your preferences. If you dream of visiting Asia, go to the tropics: to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Goa, Vietnam, where there are good conditions for getting a beautiful even tan and there is a sea suitable for swimming. Dream of gorgeous shots of snow-white beaches with slender palm trees - go to the Caribbean: to the Dominican Republic, to Jamaica or Cuba. If you want exotic, then your choice is Jordan or Morocco. In all these countries, you can freely swim, dive, and do water sports.
Vietnam
A wonderful decision is to go to Vietnam in February. This month, dry weather sets in throughout the country. Phan Thiet resort and Phu Quoc island are especially favorable for beach holidays. At the latter, tourists are expected by the bright sun, heating the air to 30 degrees and the water to a comfortable 28 degrees.
There will be no problems with choosing a beach in Fukuoka. The noisiest and most popular is located near the capital of the island, Duong Dong. The beach is called Long Beach, and on Vietnamese maps it is designated as Truong. The rest of the beaches - Ong Lang, Bai Zai - are more remote from hotels, and therefore calm and quiet. From all these beaches, located on the west coast of the island, you can watch the sun set, which is what hundreds of onlookers do every evening.
From Fukuoka, you can take a boat trip to Turtle Island, near which there is a colorful coral reef, where scuba diving is allowed.
Fukuoka has special rules for renting a car. Tourists are allowed to rent a vehicle only if a local driver comes with the car as a bonus. Therefore, most of the guests of Fukuoka prefer to travel between the beaches by taxi.
Tourists from Russia can stay in Vietnam for 15 days without a visa.

Thailand
Thailand's high season is still in full swing in February, although temperatures are starting to rise. Therefore, there are fewer people on the beaches, in clubs, on the streets. Accordingly, if you feel uncomfortable in a crowd, then it is better to go to Thailand in February.
The cheapest resort in this country is Pattaya, which is located on the shores of the Gulf of Thailand. Mostly young people come here in search of a rich nightlife.
Families with children (Karon, Kata, Kamala, Surin beaches are intended for them) and lovers of unhurried measured rest (they gather on the beaches of Karala and Naithon) go to Phuket Island, washed by the waters of the Andaman Sea. Although Patong Beach, lined with the most fashionable nightclubs of the island, is always full of young people. In addition to beach holidays, Phuket offers diving, kayaking, yachting, surfing. You can go on a jungle safari.
Thai visa is not required for our compatriots.

India
The climate in India is due to the presence of the Himalayas and the Thar Desert. The mountain range, like a windshield, traps masses of cold air from Siberia, and the desert attracts monsoons that bring moisture. As a result, we have a country with short and rainy winters that end in January. However, "winter" is a strong word. The air temperature in the south at this time does not drop below 25 degrees.
February in India is already the beginning of a long summer. In the state of Goa, which is most often chosen by Russians for winter holidays, guests will find a well-warmed Arabian Sea - calm, shallow, and safe.
For a successful vacation in Goa, you should carefully choose a resort. The northern part of Goa will appeal to mobile, active people who love parties, parties, new acquaintances. North Goa is always full of tourists, traders, musicians and other venerable public.
South Goa, where the most expensive hotels on the coast are built, is considered quieter and more elite, if this word is suitable for a democratic Indian state, a place to relax. There are more wealthy, respectable travelers from Europe here, families with children stay, there are no noisy beach discos. And the beaches of South Goa are more well-groomed and cleaner than in the north of the state.
To travel to India, you need to obtain a visa. For those who travel to India as part of a tourist group, it will be issued according to a simplified procedure.

Indonesia
Despite the vast territory of Indonesia, consisting of many islands and islets, tourists most often choose one for rest - the island of Bali. Eternal summer reigns here, but in February it is rather humid. There are enough bonuses for a holiday in Bali in the last month of winter. The most important are the lack of crowds of tourists and reduced prices for hotel accommodation.
The most pleasant conditions during this period can be found in the resort of Kuta, in search of authenticity it is better to go to the center of the country, where the city of Ubud is located, divers will love Jimbaran.
By the way, Jimbaran Beach is the best place on the whole island to watch the sun sinking into the water. You can admire the sunset from the beach cafe serving the freshest seafood delicacies.

Cuba
February is great in Cuba. At this time, the weather is clear, the air warms up to 27 degrees, there is no stifling heat, which means that you can not only sunbathe on the beaches, but also go on excursions.
The Caribbean resort of Santiago de Cuba in the southeast of Liberty Island is very popular with our tourists.
In the evenings it gets cooler here - the air temperature drops to 18 degrees. As paradoxical as it may sound, it is worth taking windbreakers with you to Cuba. By the way, they will come in handy if you decide to go to the mountains - to the Sierra Maestra nature reserve and the high mountain resort of Gran Pietra.
Cuba offers visitors from Russia a visa-free entry, which attracts many tourists who do not want to get involved with the lengthy processing of permits to stay in the country.

Israel
In February, in Israel, it is worth going to the Red Sea - to Eilat. It is much warmer here than in the resorts of the Mediterranean Sea, in the same Haifa or Netanya. The water near the coast is heated to 22 degrees and is considered a little cool for swimming, but if you still dare to open the beach season in February, then look for a beach for this, where there is a protection from the piercing wind.
By the end of February, the air temperature begins to rise, and the sea warms up by a few more degrees. It is interesting that Eilat at the end of winter plunges into peace and quiet. There are no holidaymakers from Israel who prefer a warmer sea, and very few tourists. Therefore, it is quite possible to find rooms in hotels at discounted prices.
February is a great time for excursions to the Red Canyon, horseback riding, observing the inhabitants of the local coral reef from behind the glass of the Underwater Observatory. At the North Beach of Eilat, you can find the beginning of the bird trail, from which it is convenient to observe the birds, which are just starting their migration period.
The best beaches in Eilat are Migdalor, near which there is a coral reef; spacious clean Dekel, where various parties are often held; Shmurat-Almogim, popular with divers.
Tourists from Russia can visit Israel without a visa.

Taiwan
For a beach holiday in February, the southern resort of Taiwan Kenting is best suited. The water temperature in the Bashi Strait, which connects the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean, in the last month of winter is kept at around 22-26 degrees. The air is heated to 26 degrees.
The Taiwanese themselves are not very fond of beach holidays. They consider a person with fair, unburned skin to be more beautiful than with a dark complexion, so they try in every possible way to protect themselves from the sun's rays. On the luxurious beaches of Taiwan, mostly foreigners sunbathe. The best beach in Kenting is Shadao Beach. In between taking water and sunbathing, go to the nearest national park and to the aquarium.
Taiwanese Sansyantai Beach, located in the eastern city of Taitung, is also good for a February holiday. The name of the beach translates as "Platform of the Three Immortals". This is how the locals call the island closest to the coast with three large rocks. The water temperature in the ocean off the coast is 24 degrees and is considered comfortable for swimming.
A visa is not required for Russians.

Aqaba is a famous Jordanian resort on the shores of the Red Sea. It is dry, warm, you can swim in the sea, bask in the pools or spa centers organized right at the hotels, go on excursions to Petra (the road will only take a couple of hours), to the Dead Sea, to the Wadi Rum desert or to the country's capital city Amman.
In February, the Red Sea is warmed up to 21-22 degrees. Many of the beaches in Aqaba are private. They are run by local hotels, which keep the coast clean and take care of the availability of changing cabins, showers, life towers, toilets, etc. The entrance to private beaches is usually paid.
The best sandy beaches in the city are the northern parts of the coast. In the south, pebble beaches await tourists, where there are also stones that require careful entry into the water.
Aqaba actively supports all kinds of tourists' interest in scuba diving. The King of Jordan himself is a fan of diving, so new dive sites are constantly being organized here.
Jordan is a rather expensive country. You can save money when you visit it if you take care of buying a Jordan Pass before your trip.
The Jordan Pass provides a free visa and is used as a permit to visit many local attractions, that is, it serves as a substitute for a ticket.
A visa to Jordan is issued at the consulate of this country or directly at the airport.

Mexico
The Tropic of Cancer divides Mexico into two climatic zones. To the north of this invisible line, a high-altitude climate prevails, and the air temperature can drop to 0 degrees. South of the Tropic during the same period of time, the air can warm up to 50 degrees.
There are several popular resorts in Mexico. Acapulco is located on the Pacific coast, on the Caribbean coast - Cancun, which is one of the most popular centers of the Mayan Riviera. In February, there are many tourists at both resorts.
Acapulco is noisier, hectic and crowded. Cancun is the choice of families with children and fans of surfing and kiting. For the former, there is a northeastern section on the coast, sheltered from the wind, where there is clean sand and a smooth, safe descent into the water. The latter chose the southern coast of Cancun, where you can find good waves suitable for skiing.
There is one more fun in Cancun for absolutely everyone. One of the local attractions is the Underwater Art Museum - a collection of 500 sculptures placed on the bottom of the sea. You can consider them either by scuba diving or by traveling on a boat with a transparent bottom.
A visa is required to stay in Mexico.

Morocco
Beach resorts in Morocco are located on the Atlantic coast. The most popular are northern Essaouira and southern Agadir.
In February, the Atlantic is still poorly warmed up. Even in the warmest resort of Morocco at this time it is better to just sunbathe than to conquer the water element. The water temperature here is kept at around 16 degrees Celsius. Although some tourists, tired of the long winter in their homeland, happily plunge into the waves of the ocean.
The beaches in Morocco are covered with golden sand and are mostly free of charge. Only some parts of the coastline are attached to certain hotels.
The best beach in the country is located in snow-white Agadir. Its length is 6 km. The entrance to the ocean here is smooth, the depth is gained gradually, there are ebbs and flows. A little further along the coast, there are also good beaches, along which sports equipment rental centers, dive centers, and surfing clubs are built.
Morocco in February is ideal for excursions. Most notable will be a trip to the town of Tafraout in the Anti-Atlas Mountains, where thousands of almond trees bloom in February. Imperial, lush Vienna, the main city of Austria, is good at any time of the year. If you want to walk in its beautiful parks in summer and autumn, then in winter it is time to visit the numerous local museums. Vienna has a whole Museum Quarter where you can "hang out" for the whole day. Be sure to set aside an hour to explore the museum bookstore - there is an incredible amount of art books on display.
Opposite the Museum Quarter is Piazza Maria Theresa. There are two more interesting museums facing it - the Natural History Museum and the Kunsthistorisches Museum.
Across the street from Maria Theresa Square is the Hofburg Palace, where there are several wonderful exhibitions: the Museum of the Empress Sissi, the exhibition of imperial dishes, the Treasury, the library. Portugal
In February, it makes sense to go to Portugal, to its capital Lisbon, where the air at this time warms up to 10 degrees Celsius.
At the end of winter, tourists ride an old yellow tram along the narrow streets of the Alfama district, look at the city from the Miradoru viewing platforms, admire the pavements with drawings of multi-colored stones, and visit the aquarium.
Plan for February and a trip to the Lisbon suburb of Sintra, home to the royal residence of Paso Real and the fabulous colorful Pena Palace. The absence of queues in February will save time and spend an extra half hour walking through the richly decorated interiors of the palaces.
Then take a taxi and head to the 16th century Capuchin monastery, which is 5 km from Sintra. There at this time it is deserted and very blissful.
Before leaving Sintra, buy some delicate Qajadas de Sintra pastries with you on the road. They are sold at local pastry shops.
The Portuguese will be allowed to enter the country only if they have a Schengen visa in their passport.

Latvia
In February it is not the season in Riga - the ground is covered with snow, the air is cooled to -5 degrees, daylight hours are reduced to 6-7 hours. Regardless, Riga in February will be a great option for a winter vacation.
Riga is, first of all, the Old Town with narrow streets lined with Gothic buildings that in the past belonged to Hanseatic merchants, colorful temples with spiers, restaurants hidden in the side streets.
The old town is small. Any hotel will provide you with a map and even draw an approximate route. Throw it away immediately and go for a walk haphazardly, turning wherever your soul desires and your heart prompts. You will probably come to the "Three Brothers" - houses that have survived since the 15th century and are considered one of the city's hallmarks, the House with black cats on the roofs, the Convention Court, the Powder Tower with a military museum, the Dome Cathedral, where chamber music concerts are held, Town Hall Square with an architectural masterpiece - the House of the Blackheads.
Where not to go at the end of winter is Jurmala. Although if you like walking along the wide deserted beaches, blown by all the winds from the Baltic, then you can take a chance.
Latvia is part of the Schengen area. You need a visa to visit this country.

Excursion holidays abroad
February is a great time for an excursion tour to distant countries and not necessarily to European ones! During this period, the flow of tourists to world-class attractions decreases, which means that the Stone City of Petra or the Great Wall of China can be admired, if not alone, but in the company of a much smaller number of people than in any other month of the year.
Jordan
In February, a wonderful cool weather sets in Jordan, which is the best suited for exploring local attractions, the main of which is the Pink City lost in the rocks and sands of the Wadi Musa Valley - the legendary Petra, founded more than 2 thousand years ago and abandoned in the 6th century AD. NS.
To get to this architectural treasure, it is necessary to pass the narrow two-kilometer Siq gorge, which is a fracture in the rock after an earthquake. Just beyond the gorge are the columns of the treasury of Al-Khazneh, a building carved by the Nabateans into terracotta rock. This building was seen by many in the film about the adventures of Indiana Jones.
The best photos of Al-Khazneh from the gorge in February are obtained from 9 to 10 am. In addition to Al-Khazneh, on the territory of mysterious Petra there are other monumental temples, tombs, a theater with excellent acoustics, and the Ad-Deir monastery.
A national visa is required to visit Jordan. It is issued upon arrival for a fee.

China
It is freezing and cold in Beijing in winter. There is often snow in February. Daylight hours are short enough - the sun sets at 16-17 pm. Ticket sales for the main attractions, which are open all year round, end at 16:30.
But in February, few tourists from the Middle Kingdom and neighboring countries come to the capital of China. This means that you can thoughtfully and slowly inspect not only the city itself, but also climb the Great Wall of China. The most interesting section of the wall for inspection is called Simatai. It is located 120 km from Beijing and dates back to the 6th century AD. NS.
Best remembered is the evening excursion to the wall in the Simatai area (from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm). The sector between the fifth and sixth watchtowers is illuminated at night. This is the only part of the Great Wall of China that has lighting. A convenient path has been laid to Simatai, and a magnificent panorama of the Gubei Water Town resort, founded in 2014, opens from the wall. After walking along the wall, you can relax here in the hot springs.
To visit the Great Wall of China in the Simatai area and the Gubei Water Town resort, you need to buy an entrance ticket, which will cost about 160 yuan.
A national visa is required.

Holidays with children in February
When planning a trip with a small child, you need, first of all, to think about his convenience and interests. With kids, it is better to break out for short distances to those places where they can be provided with an excellent excursion or entertainment program. Older children will also like traveling to distant countries, especially if they are promised a visit to an amusement park, for example, the legendary Disneyland.
Kostroma
The homeland of the Snow Maiden, granddaughter of Santa Claus, is Kostroma. That is why a visit to this city is always a win-win option for any fidget.
The Snow Maiden can be found at any time of the year in one of three city locations - in her museum in the city center, in her residence on Simanovsky and in the house-terem, which is located on Lagernaya Street. Terem Snegurochka is a whole entertainment center where not only children, but also adults will not be bored. All tourists try to check into the Ice Room, which will definitely be open in the last week of February, when Maslenitsa will be celebrated in the city.
On Ivan Susanin Square, there is another interesting object for research in the company of children - the Guardhouse, now turned into a museum, in the showcases of which dozens of copies of ancient weapons are collected. Some are allowed to be touched and even photographed with them.
The Historical Museum, located in the Governor's Estate, offers original fun for children of all ages. This is a large container with sand, in which, armed with brushes of an archaeologist, you can find many interesting artifacts, which children are happy to do.

Interesting sculptures are installed along it, which are so much fun to look for in a race with their parents. For example, a Photographer and a Postman live here.
On the same street is the Technical Museum, which allows you to touch and test many of the exhibits. Children will also like the exhibition "Locomotives of Russia", which contains a variety of railway equipment, which can be climbed if desired.
There is also an open-air museum "Shchelokovsky Khutor" in Nizhny, which is open all year round, although in winter it closes about an hour earlier than in summer. Here you can find the original buildings built from timber several centuries ago. They were brought here from nearby villages. It is best to walk around the "Khutor" in the company of a guide.
In 4 bus stops from the Shchelokovsky Khutor there is the Switzerland Park, which has children's attractions, a zoo and a ski center.

Myshkin
Myshkin is a city glorified by a mouse, named after her and turned this rodent into its own business card. It is located 277 km from Moscow. Local legends tell of a brave mouse who helped the ruler to avoid being bitten by a snake. The Mouse Museum, located on Uglichskaya Street, is called upon to remind of his feat. This is the main local attraction, for the sake of which it is worth covering the kilometers of the way to Myshkin.
Such a museum, in which thousands of toy, glass, ceramic and other mice "live", is no longer on the planet. It has its own mouse king, which even has an individual seal.
It has already become a tradition to use images of mice in the design of various urban establishments. At the exhibition in the Miller's House, large life-size puppets in the form of mice are installed. Some of them are costume animators. At the most unexpected moment, they will begin to move, delighting little visitors.

In February, it is good in Los Angeles - the air warms up to a comfortable 20 degrees, the sun is shining, and a light breeze blows from the ocean. The weather is perfect for spending a day or two experiencing the rides at Disneyland Park.

Disney itself has developed 5 thematic zones for its own amusement park:
- Main Street USA - a street of a typical American town at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries;
- Adventureland is a tropical corner;
- Frontierland - a sector of the Wild West of the times of Indians and cowboys;
- Fantasyland - a fairytale area dominated by the magic castle of the Sleeping Beauty;
- Tomorrowland is a place where everything is dedicated to the "wonders of the future".
Currently, the park, created by Disney, is adjacent to Disney's California Adventure Park, whose attractions are dedicated to the history of the local lands, a village with restaurants and shops, and a hotel for children and their parents.

Choosing a ski resort
The coming to an end winter does not at all mark the end of the ski season. In February, the snow frenzy continues at the main winter resorts in Europe, Russia and Asia. Many tourists specially plan a trip to the mountains after all the New Year's holidays, so that nothing distracts from the well-groomed slopes and easy skiing or snowboarding.
In February, you can give up on expensive alpine resorts or choose more democratic places, for example, in Sweden or Russia. For lovers of unfamiliar slopes, we recommend that you consider ski resorts in Georgia or Turkey for skiing.
Ski resorts in Russia
If the idea of going to the mountains with old skis in an embrace came to mind only yesterday, then it is quite logical to choose a Russian ski base for recreation, which does not require a visa, knowledge of languages and a certain amount in foreign currency. It is enough just to get on the train, so that the next day, blissfully squinting, look at the mountain slopes shining in the sun and understand that life is beautiful!

Elbrus
The Elbrus ski region unites two ski areas - Cheget and Elbrus Azau. The extreme trails of the Cheget and Elbrus mountains are capable of drinking no less champagne.
The best way to start the day is with breakfast in the “Ai” cafe on Cheget, from where Elbrus can be clearly seen. After an invigorating herbal tea, the downhill skiing will be especially enjoyable. Local tracks, and there are 15 of them, are not just difficult, but extreme. The northern slope of Cheget is reserved for real daredevils, the southern one is suitable for self-confident skiers.
The upper station of the ski lifts on Elbrus is located at an altitude of 3800 meters. Before descending, you should look around a little in order to finally realize that under you is the very Main Caucasian ridge.
We do not know if there are such skiers who may get tired of skiing in the Elbrus region, but just in case we recommend alternative options - excursions to the Irik valley, from where a magnificent view of Elbrus opens, and to the Irikchat gorge, where thermal springs are located.

Arkhyz
Arkhyz, a winter resort in Karachay-Cherkessia, offers its guests a mild climate, no cold winds and excellent snow cover. In February, thermometers show about -5 degrees here.
The ski resort of Arkhyz called Romantic was built not so long ago - in 2013, but has already managed to acquire constant fans. At the moment, you can also stay in the village of Lunnaya Polyana. Along the slopes of the spurs of the Caucasian mountains, there are 8 tracks with a total length of 25 km, among which there are red and black, designed for experienced skiers.
The rest of the slopes will be appreciated by those who are just starting to master the difficult art of skiing. For beginners, there is a ski school at the resort, where they are also willing to work with children from 3 years old.
It is not at all necessary to take your equipment with you - everything can be taken on the spot at the rental points.
A lift pass in February will cost 2,000 rubles per day.
You can get to Arkhyz by buses from the city of Mineralnye Vody, where there is an airport and a railway station. The road to the ski base takes 3 hours.

Kirovsk
Kirovsk in the Murmansk region, which is closely approached by the Khibiny, by the will of the Soviet authorities became a ski center back in 1937. Alpine skiing competitions were held here then - the first in the Soviet Union.
The Khibiny is famous for its stable snow cover, which appears here about half a month earlier than on the slopes of Apatity. The town of Kirovsk itself, built at the end of the 20s of the last century, is of little interest from the point of view of a lover of excursion tourism. On the other hand, there is no end to skiers who choose to stay at the Bolshoy Vudyavr or Kukisvumchorr winter bases. Snowboarders prefer to stay at the DS. Kirovsk. Lab camp.
The Bolshoy Vudyavr resort, which is familiarly called "Bigwood", was founded in 2003 on the slope of the Aykuyvenchorr peak. This place is positioned as a base for family recreation. There are no extreme slopes here, but there are tracks for skiers of all skill levels. While the parents are exploring the black and red slopes, the children can practice skiing on the training slopes. The people are lifted to the starting point by 2 lifts.
The Kukisvumchorr resort is considered more serious: children - future Olympic champions - train here. Local tracks, starting at 890 meters, are always well-groomed, lifts provide access to the slopes in any weather, and there is an area for freeriders.

Ski resorts in Europe
There are too many mountains in Europe suitable for skiing. And this can become a problem when choosing the very, unique, cozy resort where you can spend your winter holidays.
How to choose the best resort? You can take risks and travel to different places every year. Or vice versa - go to the already familiar slopes, where - you can be sure - old friends will gather, there will be delicious mulled wine and pleasant evenings in bars with burning fireplaces.
Sweden
The best and most fashionable ski resort in Sweden is Åre. It is separated from Stockholm by 600 km. A hundred years ago, only a few people heard about these places, and only the most stubborn lovers of untouched winter nature visited here. Everything changed when a railway was laid through Åre, leading to the Norwegian Trondheim. And people went to Åre. This means that there is a decent infrastructure and a decent après-ski.
Are has hundreds of ski slopes of varying lengths. The longest is over 6 km. Some trails start at an altitude of 1274 m. By the beginning of the descent of tourists, 40 lifts are raised.
The local ski area is considered one of the best in Scandinavia. This has been confirmed more than once when Ore has been selected to host world-class alpine skiing competitions.
In your free time from skiing in Åre you can visit a reindeer farm, go zipline and see the ice hotel.
You should worry about a Schengen visa in advance.

Switzerland
Switzerland is a skiing mecca. There are a lot of winter resorts here - one is better than the other in order to highlight one and unambiguously recommend it for travel.
Snow in February will be at all Swiss mountain bases, so choosing a resort "according to the weather" will not work. When traveling to the mountains of Switzerland, be guided only by your taste and wallet.
For fans of skiing, Switzerland can offer:

- Saas-Fee, where there is no railway and no cars, but there is the Fegletcher glacier, which, however, skiers are not allowed on. But its presence is a guarantee of excellent snow on the tracks. The local slopes are suitable for beginner and intermediate athletes;
- Crans-Montana is a ski area that includes three villages - Cran, Montana and Arminona. The local slopes are quite easy and are ideal for seniors and beginners who are just learning to ski.
To visit Switzerland, you need to obtain a Schengen visa.

Poland
The Zakopane resort, located 100 km from Krakow, where there is an international airport, offers four ski areas based on the slopes of the highest peaks of the Tatra Mountains. The best slopes are on the Kasprowy Wierch (1985 m) and Nosal (1206 m) mountains.
Despite the fact that Zakopane is considered one of the main Polish ski resorts, there is no general ski pass. Also, there are no special buses that take you to the ski lifts, which are located quite far from the center of Zakopane. Tourists have to drive up to the slopes by regular regular vehicles.
Kasprowy Wierch is intended for experienced, well-trained skiers. One of the local routes is 9 km long. The skiing period from Kasprowy Wierch is limited from 7:30 am to 16: 00-17: 00.

“Not the Alps alone” - this is the principle guided by those skiers who choose not familiar Europe for recreation, but more exotic countries, for example, Turkey or Georgia. And if those who lived in the Soviet Union probably heard about the Georgian ski resorts, then the Turkish ones can become the discovery of the year.

Rest on the territory of Russia has a lot of advantages over foreign voyages. The tourist changes the environment, but at the same time remains in the familiar environment, is familiar with local customs and traditions and has no language barriers. Before the trip, he does not spend a lot of time exchanging currency, connecting roaming and obtaining a visa. Finally, traveling in Russia is much cheaper than traveling abroad.
February is ideal for tours both to snowy Siberia and to cities closer to the capital or southern resorts. At the end of winter, everywhere, except for the southern regions, you can count on the presence of snow and frost.

Winter sea cruises
The one who came up with cruises in their present form, probably loved the comfort very much. Any modern cruise is a clearly scheduled excursion program, for the implementation of which an ordinary tourist does not need to do anything at all. He will be delivered where needed, entertained and fed on the way, provide the opportunity to dance, swim in the pool, shop, enjoy the sea breeze and the tropical or northern sun. And all this for a fixed fee.
In February, when winter is still going on here, you can go to the south, where it is always warm and the air is permeated with the aroma of adventure.
Egypt
The Nile Cruise is a timeless classic pioneered by Thomas Cook himself, the owner of the world's first travel agency. Since then, thousands of tourists travel to Egypt not to stay in all-inclusive hotels, but to board one of the cruise ships departing daily from Luxor up the Nile.
Egyptian cruise ships, despite looking like shoeboxes, offer quite comfortable rest in comfortable cabins and on deck near the outdoor pool.
The first stop after Luxor is the village of Idfu, where tourists are shown the perfectly preserved sanctuary of the god Horus. After a day of leisurely gliding along the Nile, already at dusk, the ferry moors to the town of Kom-Ombo. Don't expect to stay on the ferry, as Kom Ombo does not sleep around the clock. For tourists, souvenir pavilions and restaurants work here all night.
The cruise ends in Aswan, where you can spend a couple of days walking around the ancient village near the Aswan Dam and examining the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. By the way, in the evenings there is an interesting performance in the temple.
Every cruise ship that carries tourists along the Nile can be called a 4 or 5 star hotel. The trip from Luxor to Aswan usually takes 3-4 days.

Caribs
Caribbean cruises rarely last less than two weeks. This is understandable - why fly far away to see just a couple of Bounty-style beaches in five days?
Caribbean cruises most often start and end in the United States. One of the most popular routes involves starting from Miami. The luxury cruise ship's first stop will be at St. Thomas Island, part of the US Virgin Islands. This island has been declared a free trade zone, which means that chic shopping awaits the passengers of the liner. Successful purchases should be noted with a glass of local Black Beard beer.
The liner then anchors off the islands of Antigua and Barbuda, where relaxed tourists will find 365 postcard beaches. Then there will be a stop on the island of Saint Martin, which is divided between France and the Netherlands. A fortress called Amsterdam and a historical military base have been preserved here since colonial times.
Before returning to Miami, the liner will turn to a group of 30 British Turks and Caicos Islands, where the mighty of this world prefer to rest.
Another trendy Caribbean cruise tour starts in Florida and includes visits to Mexico, Belize, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Cuba.
Safari in Africa
A trip to Africa is always an adventure. The safari trip is a super adventure.
In many African countries, there are reserves where herds of zebras and antelopes, elephants and giraffes, prides of big cats, flocks of birds of different species live in their usual conditions. Thousands of tourists from all over the world come to see them and take stunning pictures every year.
Any month of the year is suitable for observing the wildlife in Africa. In February, you can go to the very south of the Black Continent - to South Africa.
South Africa
The end of winter in South Africa is a great time to travel through the country's national parks. The best weather in February is in the Kruger State Wildlife Refuge and in the adjacent Sabi Sands and Timbavati Parks. Here you can meet animals from the "Big Five" with a 100% guarantee.
In February, when the reservoirs in the reserves are still full-flowing, the period of calving begins for impalas, oryx, and Cannes antelopes. Lions, leopards and other predators at this time do not miss the chance for an excellent hunt.
In February, the savanna is covered with dense green vegetation, which makes it difficult to see the animals hiding in it. But the vibrant greenery is the perfect backdrop for great shots. In addition, in the last month of winter, there will be a clear, cloudless sky over the reserves of South Africa - ideal for a photo safari.
Kruger Park is allowed to be viewed in your own car. This can be considered both a plus and a minus of the reserve. On the one hand, tourists are glad that they are not limited in their movements, on the other hand, the number of cars at one point can exceed a reasonable number, interfering with perception.
In private reserves, which include Sabi Sands and Timbavati, groups of tourists are led by an experienced guide.
February in South Africa is the time when marsh turtles make their nests on the beaches of Isimangaliso. Safaris in national parks can be diversified by a trip to these beaches.
A visa to South Africa is not required for Russians.
Events, festivals, carnivals
February is the month of carnivals that take place around the world. The word "carnival" itself is translated from Latin as "goodbye, meat." These holidays, whose history begins about 11-12 centuries ago, were supposed to prepare believers for a long and harsh fast. Now, the carnival is rather considered a holiday of farewell to the long winter and just a fun, incendiary action, where you can have fun, forgetting about everyday problems.
The most grandiose carnival takes place in the distant Brazilian Rio de Janeiro. In Europe, in February, they also walk wonderfully.
Brazil
The largest, brightest and most colorful festival not only in Brazil, but throughout South America is held in Rio de Janeiro. This is a truly grandiose holiday that the whole country is looking forward to.
Along the sambadrome, on both sides of which there are seats for spectators, 14 platforms belonging to various dance schools move to the fiery rhythms of Latin American melodies. Each platform is a stage where the best dancers of the school move, sing, dance, flirt with the audience. They are all dressed up in stunning costumes dominated by sequins, feathers, and beads.
Traveling along the sambadrome is not only a celebration in honor of the beginning of Lent, but also a competition between the best Brazilian samba schools. The performances of the dancers, their costumes and the decoration of the platforms are judged by a professional jury. The winners have the opportunity to ride the sambadrome once again to the cheers of the crowd and get their moment of glory.
After the parade, spontaneous dances begin right on the streets of Rio. Both the participants in the show and the audience are involved in the general frenzy. Rio de Janeiro simply cannot sleep during this period.
When going to carnival events, make sure that you do not have large sums of money with you, because pickpockets can easily pull them out in the crowd.
Russians can stay in Brazil for 90 days without having a visa in their passport.

The most graceful, elegant, aristocratic carnival takes place in Venice. People dressed in crinolines and camisoles posing against the backdrop of Venetian landscapes for tourists have been preparing for the carnival in Venice for several months. They order their luxurious suits, which sometimes cost a fortune, from private tailors. These costumes will come in handy during the main parade, and when it's time to go to the ball.
During the carnival, all Venice walks in balls. The city hosts many dance parties, which should be attended only with a mask.
Carnival in Venice starts at Piazza San Marco. The most interesting moment of this day will be the flight of an Angel - a beautiful girl who literally flies over the guests of the Most Serene Highness on fixed ropes. Her flight is the go-ahead for the start of unbridled fun, when something interesting happens in every square in Venice, and you don't know where to rush first so as not to miss anything. We will tell you - you need to go to the Grand Canal, where the gondolier regatta is about to begin. And only then you can methodically comb the streets in search of the most beautiful masks.
The festival ends with the burning of a straw effigy and fireworks.
Italy is part of the Schengen area, therefore a corresponding visa is required to enter this country.

Many tourists choose to head to a single department store, where you can spend all your spare money on buying wardrobe items and household goods. But seasoned shopaholics know that the most interesting things in Paris are to be found outside the huge shops.
We recommend visiting small boutiques:
- Aux Comptoire du Chineur, which sells vintage accessories. This store is located in the Marais area;
- Biscuit is a place where you can choose a fashionable look for babies and their mothers;
- "Sultan" is a clothing store for gentlemen.
For a shopping tour to Paris, Schengen is required.

Italy
There are too many trendy spots on the map of Italy, the name of which makes every shopper's heart sink. These are Milan, Florence, Venice, Rome. In every city there are streets with shops of famous brands, and outside the settlements there are huge outlets where everything is sold - clothes, shoes, furniture, bedding, designer jewelry, watches, etc.
It is customary to bring clothes and accessories of local brands from Italy - Prada, Fendi, Brioni and others. You should also pay attention to genuine leather products (shoes, bags, wallets, belts) - they are very high quality and relatively inexpensive here.
There will not be too high discounts in boutiques of eminent designers, but in stores where clothes of more democratic brands are sold, you can count on prices on price tags in February, reduced by 70 percent of the original cost.
In Rome, for trendy clothes at discounted prices, head to the streets of Cola di Renzo, Babuino, Nazionale, Condotti and Corso.
There are some chic outlets near Rome where you can go crazy any time of the year, not just during sales. Perhaps the most popular is called Castel Romano Designer Outlet. It is located 25 km from the city and is a whole village of shops, boutiques, restaurants.
You can enter Italy if your passport has a Schengen visa.

Active recreation, diving, surfing
When you want to shake yourself up, add a little adrenaline to your measured life, you need to go south - to the tropics, where you can find a lot of active entertainment.
No one is born divers and surfers, every athlete once took his first steps in the art of scuba diving or conquering the ocean waves. It is better to learn diving and surfing where there are suitable conditions and world-famous schools.
Mauritius, Bahamas is a great choice for February.
Mauritius
Mauritius Island is located in the Indian Ocean. Almost from all sides it is surrounded by coral reefs, in which hundreds of tropical fish slowly glide and briskly scurry. The spectacle is so mesmerizing that you want to definitely see all more than a hundred local dive sites.
The reefs are located at a depth of 7 to 45 meters. In any month of the year, the water near the coast of Mauritius is warmed up to a comfortable temperature for swimming without a wetsuit. The high season for divers in Mauritius begins in February and lasts until May.
Surf lovers choose places where reefs are located at great depths. Beginners can train on Small Reef and Tamarin Bay Wave in Tamarin Village. There is a safe sandy bottom and fairly quiet waves. According to the testimony of local instructors, after 2 hours of attempts, novice surfers confidently catch the wave. Schools and equipment rentals are located right on Tamarin Beach.
Experienced surfers go to Mauritius for the One Eye wave - strong, fast, sheer. It is shared by kitesurfers, windsurfers and surfers.
A visa for Mauritius is not required.

Bahamas
In the Bahamas, dry, sunny weather sets in February. The water warms up to 25-26 degrees Celsius.
The seven hundred Bahamas in the Caribbean is a shark-diving paradise. In the Bahamas, fishing for these sea predators is prohibited, so they feel very at ease here. They love sharks here, contribute to their preservation, study their habits, and at the same time allow divers to tickle their nerves and swim in the immediate vicinity of huge dangerous fish.
Sharks of several species (reef, tiger, hammerhead sharks and others) are lured on Tiger Beach on the island of Grand Bahama. Near the coast, the ocean and the shallow Caribbean Sea meet at this point. Sharks prefer to live there and there. Divers are offered to freeze under water on a sandy bottom and watch as sharks absorb the bait above them - small fish, which are scattered by a dive club employee. Usually 2 to 15 sharks gather for lunch. Some daredevil divers may even swim neatly nearby. Often, flocks of dolphins, moray eels and large perches swim up close to Tiger Beach.
Hammerhead sharks gather from December to March near the remote Bahamas of Bimini, where the warm Gulf Stream passes by. Scuba diving is also organized here.
Russians are allowed to enter the Bahamas without a visa.

Inexpensive vacation in February - what to choose?
There are low-cost countries where you can not be afraid that the level of spending will exceed the level of opportunity. Basically, these are Asian states, where there are both tourist places - popular resorts and expensive hotels, and the most ordinary cities where ordinary people live. And this is where those tourists who dream of cheap Asia and full immersion in exotic should go.
In Europe, inexpensive countries can be found in the eastern sector. Discover Slovakia, which is always overshadowed by its more popular neighboring Czech Republic.
Slovakia
It is only 3-4 hours by bus between the capitals of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but during this time you find yourself from noisy and crowded Prague to cozy, "homely" Bratislava, not spoiled by the attention of tourists, which means that it is not so expensive and pretentious.
Although Slovakia recently switched to the euro, the price level here is slightly lower than in the Czech Republic, where the kroon is still in circulation. If in Prague a room in a decent hotel in the city center will cost around 100 euros (in terms of CZK), then in Bratislava, accommodation in such a hotel will cost 60 euros.
There are many cafes and restaurants on the main streets of the Slovak capital serving national cuisine. You can dine for about 10-15 euros. Outside the historic center, but within walking distance there are two large shopping centers, where winter sales take place in January-February. The lowest prices during this period are set for summer wardrobe items.
The historical center is dominated by the snow-white Bratislava castle, which now houses the historical museum (entrance - 10 euros). From the walls of the castle you can see the Cathedral of St. Martin, where the Habsburgs were crowned (entrance to the cathedral is free), and the panorama of the Danube with the SNP bridge and an observation deck resembling a plate of aliens. A trendy restaurant is located in the same "plate".
The bus and railway stations in Bratislava are located outside the historic center - it is easier to get to them by buses. By train, you can go on a one-day excursion to Trnava, Trencin, to the famous balneological resort of Piestany, to the Czech city of Brno. By buses it is easy to get to the cities of the Bratislava region, for example, rich in sights of Sveti Yura or Pezinka (and the trip will cost 1-3 euros).
A Schengen visa is required to visit Slovakia.

Philippines
The main thing is to fly to the Philippines. It is not very cheap and time consuming (one or two docks will be required). But then the tourists who have accomplished this feat are expected, for example, by the Philippine capital, Manila, which is cheap in all respects, offering an amazing "excursion".
There are a lot of people in Manila - this is a huge metropolis, where there is just a little too much - sounds, smells, colors. Tourists are shown the heart of the city - the historic center called Intramuros, founded by the Spaniards about 500 years ago. We can say that the capital of the Philippines began from this fortress. Here were the main buildings of the city - the mayor's office and the archbishop's mansion. From the historical complex, damaged during the Second World War, there are some villas, churches and defensive structures of Fort Santiago. Intramuros is also home to the main temple of the Philippine capital - Manila Cathedral.
Guards dressed in historical costumes can be seen near many local attractions. Tourists, seeing such a flavor, freeze with delight!
You can stay in the Philippines for 30 days without a visa.

Where to go in February without a visa?
There are many places on the planet where Russians can go suddenly, just having a foreign passport in their pocket and not thinking about obtaining an entry document in advance. Tours to visa-free countries are always in high demand.
Among the countries that receive our tourists without a visa in their passport, there are both remote tropical states and our closest neighbors. We have already mentioned many areas above in the section on beach holidays.

Costa Rica
The pearl of Central America, the picturesque country of Costa Rica, sometimes poetically called Tropical Switzerland, is a calm, quiet and safe paradise for nature lovers. The easiest way to explore the local beauty in the company of a knowledgeable guide, but independent tourists can find some beautiful place worthy of being captured in a photo. After all, any road, path, dirt road will certainly lead to a virgin forest, to a picturesque waterfall or lake in the volcano's caldera, covered with fog.
It is not for nothing that Costa Rica is called the land of volcanoes: on its territory there are 120 fire-breathing mountains, most of which are dormant. Tourists are even taken to the crater of one of the active volcanoes called Turrialba - for 15 minutes and at a certain time.
About 1/3 of the country is occupied by nature reserves. The most famous are La Amistad, Estrella, Manuel Antonio and others. People come here to watch 850 species of birds, sloths, green iguanas, frogs and other representatives of the tropical fauna.

Azerbaijan
The land of fires and black gold is Azerbaijan. Here they eat delicious food, warmly welcome and conduct interesting excursions.
While on vacation in Azerbaijan, you should see:
- Baku is a brilliant capital that changes every year, becoming more luxurious and majestic. The historic center has recently been completely rebuilt: dilapidated houses have given way to marble-clad boulevards and modern mansions. Particularly impressive is the flying saucer-like building of the Heydar Aliyev Center;
- Gobustan reserve located near Baku. It is famous for rocks with prehistoric petroglyphs;
- Sheki city is a place where the atmosphere of past centuries has been preserved. There are no new buildings, but there is an old fortification and the Khan's palace decorated with stained-glass windows and mosaics. In Sheki, be sure to try the local halva;
- Naftalan resort, where all medical procedures involve the use of Naftalan oil. The local sanatoriums successfully treat skin diseases, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and heart.
