The most convenient and fastest way to get to Zakopane is to travel by plane. However, there is no airport in the city itself, so first you should fly to the Polish capital or Krakow. For this purpose, you can preliminarily find out information about the availability of tickets from the following carriers: Aeroflot; LOT; Brussels Airlines; S7; Belavia; Air Baltic.

Both direct and connecting flights run from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Warsaw. Travel time is on average about 2-3 hours. The cost of tickets varies from 4 to 7 thousand rubles per person one way.

If you decide to fly through Krakow, then in this case you cannot do without connections. A rather popular option is a Moscow-Krakow flight, which is offered by S7 and Lufthansa airlines. In this case, the flight connection takes place at Munich airport and its duration can vary from 6 to 15 hours. Transfers are also possible in Minsk, Zurich and Warsaw.

From other large cities in Russia, a flight to Krakow is feasible only if there are connections in Moscow, St. Petersburg or Warsaw. Once in Krakow or Warsaw, you can easily reach Zakopane using the mode of transport you prefer.

Travel by train

Using the services of Russian Railways, you can get by train from Moscow to Warsaw or Krakow. From Belorusskiy and Kurskiy railway stations, trains 013M and 009SCh run daily on the route Moscow-Warsaw.
