It is called the RWR Karte and is issued only to those who were able to score 50 or more points on a 100-point scale for assessing the work and personal qualities of a potential migrant. The card is valid for 6 to 12 months, after which the visa will have to be renewed.
Only after having worked for the company that invited him for 52 weeks, a foreigner gets the right to change employers and issue a two-year work permit. By extending it, the immigrant gradually "accumulates" the necessary five-year work experience and stay in the country, which equates him in the right to work with the citizens of the republic.
The easiest way to find a job in Austria is qualified specialists. The country is experiencing a demographic crisis and its state policy is aimed at attracting young and active foreigners. Legal labor migrants are provided not only with high wages, but also with social benefits, for example, material assistance due to illness.
Business people
The Republic of Austria gladly welcomes major financial investors into the ranks of its citizens. Citizenship is granted to such people very quickly and they will not have to obtain a temporary and permanent residence permit in advance. But unlike other European countries, where investments of several million euros guarantee the depositor 100% citizenship, in Austria even the required investment of 6 million euros cannot be an undeniable advantage.
Investment conditions contain the following points:
- Investments should be directed to a business that requires the personal involvement of the investor in the management of the company.
- The investment should create new jobs for Austrian citizens and contribute to the growth of the country's exports.
But buying real estate and renting it out, that is, a passive business, does not give the right to citizenship in Mozart's homeland, regardless of the amount of investment.
You will be declared husband and wife
When marrying an Austrian or Austrian, remember that in order to obtain citizenship, you will need to reside in the country for at least three years, of which two - to be in a legal relationship, or the same thing, but four and one year, respectively. Be prepared for the fact that the inspection authorities will closely monitor whether you are running a joint household with your spouse, whether you are living together and relaxing, traveling as a couple abroad or to local resorts.

When applying for a job in Austria, be prepared for the fact that you may have to confirm your Russian diploma. Austria does not recognize dual citizenship and, applying for an Austrian passport, an immigrant will have to renounce the citizenship of another country. If the prospect of parting with your usual passport does not scare you, get ready for the fact that you will have to:

- Pass an examination for proficiency in the national state language.
- Provide proof of financial stability - at least 1000 euros per month for each family member over the last three years spent in Austria according to the residence permit. The income must be of legal origin.
- Confirm the fact of ten years of residence in Austria on the basis of a residence permit.
To become a citizen of Austria, it will take much less time for refugees for political or other reasons, for highly qualified specialists who have decided to move to the country, for outstanding scientists and cultural, sports or science figures of a world scale, whose presence in Austria significantly increases its prestige and well-being.
The easiest way to get the status of an Austrian resident is for those who can boast of a significant financial condition. A foreigner immediately receives a residence permit without the right to work, who can document the presence in the bank of 85 thousand euros for each adult family member and 45 thousand euros for a child under 18 years of age, has his own home in the republic and has an insurance policy for all members families.
