Those wishing to admire gold items should go to the Diamond Fund or the Armory, located on the territory of the Kremlin, with the canvases of famous painters - to the Museum of Fine Arts or the Tretyakov Gallery, antiquities and artifacts - to the Historical or Museum of the Great Patriotic War. No less interesting are museums-estates and museums-reserves, such as Tsaritsyno, Arkhangelskoye, Kolomenskoye and others.
Tretyakov Gallery
People rush to the Tretyakov Gallery to see Russian painting, sculpture, graphics, icons of the 6-17th centuries (“Ustyug Annunciation”, “Trinity” by Rublev, “Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God”). Of particular interest are the works of Repin, Perov, Myasoedov, Savitsky, Surikov, Vereshchagin, Vrubel, Serov, Levitan, Roerich, Nesterov.
Museum of Fine Arts. A. Pushkin
Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts A. S. Pushkin is one of the largest art history museums in Russia. Works of art from antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance are most fully represented here. There is a separate Gallery of 19th-20th century European and American art. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum hosts temporary thematic exhibitions, event and anniversary events.

State Darwin Museum
In the museum, located at 57 Vavilova Street, you can admire the collection of teeth of extinct sharks, rare books, objects of animal art, a collection of melanists and albinos, as well as watch a 25-minute film, shown on the walls of the hall, about the development and origin of life on the planet. The exposition "Housing" is of interest - it allows you to trace the change of human habitation from caves and huts of ancient people to modern apartments.
The Darwin Museum provides visitors with:
- Interactive educational center “Know yourself - know the world” (the latest technologies allow you to hear, touch and smell the world around you);
- EcoMoscow Information Center (through one of 10 computer workstations, anyone can view special programs, games and photographs related to the nature of Moscow and the Moscow region for free);
- Paleopark (those who wish will see life-size models of dinosaurs, cross-finned fish, mammoth, mastodonosaur in the green courtyard of the museum, which is equipped with walking paths, benches and lanterns).
Diamond fund
This museum of the Moscow Kremlin exhibits jewelry, nuggets of precious metals and stones. Among the significant exhibits are the Shah diamond, the large and small imperial crowns, a giant Ceylon sapphire, and the Mephistopheles gold nugget.
You can visit the Diamond Fund on any day of the week, except Thursday, from 10 am to 5:20 pm, tickets must be purchased in advance.
Historical Museum
The museum is famous for its almost 4.5 million exhibits stored there, located on 2 floors in 39 halls (information boards help tourists navigate the exhibits). As for interactive monitors, they demonstrate objects that, due to their fragility, cannot be exhibited live. And in order to get acquainted with documentary materials (more than 15 million sheets), reading rooms are provided for guests.

Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics
Guests are shown rocket and space technology, things that belonged to designers and astronauts, archival documents, a piece of lunar soil, a Krechet spacesuit, a full-size model of a fragment of the Mir station (you can go inside), items of philately and numismatics … In addition, the museum is equipped with a conference - a hall, a space library, a club of space veterans, a cinema and a Kosmotrek hall (there you will be able to take part in a space quiz).
