The country, which occupies the westernmost territories of Europe, with access to the great and beautiful Atlantic Ocean, makes good use of its geographical position for the development of tourism. Camping sites in Portugal, like other places to stay for travelers, are mainly located on the coast.

Most Portuguese campsites cater to different categories of tourists. Some of them offer the simplest conditions for accommodation in tents or tents, other tourist complexes have guest houses with a sufficient level of comfort.

Camping in Portugal on the seaside

The choice of places for vacation in Portugal on the coast is quite large; you can find hotels of different star levels and apartments. For those tourists who would like to relax as close to nature as possible, campgrounds offer their services. One of them - Parque de Campismo Orbitur - is located one and a half kilometers from the famous Portuguese beaches of Arean and Vageira.

Each of the tourist houses has sleeping places and a kitchenette with the necessary equipment. Each dwelling is "attached" to a terrace with furniture for relaxation. There is a tennis court on the campground, children can find something to their liking on a special playground. There are other ways of accommodation in the Parque de Campismo Orbitur - these are quite comfortable caravans and bungalows.

Closer to the seaside, Orbitur Costa de Caparica Park is just 200 meters away. You can settle down for rest in caravans or bungalows, each of which is equipped with a kitchenette, and you can leave your own car in a free parking lot. Adults and young tourists, in addition to spending time on the beach, can go in for sports and games in the fresh air, by the sea or on the campground. Other popular attractions include trips to Lisbon for excursions or shopping. Many guests point out that the value for money at this campsite can be called the best in Portugal.

Portuguese campgrounds in the suburbs

A small part of the Portuguese campgrounds are located in the interior of the country, but in the vicinity of a city. For example, Parque de Campismo Orbitur Caminha, a campsite focused on exploring the town of Caminha. Accommodation is quite modest - bungalows or mobile homes, but with kitchenettes, refrigerators and bathrooms. You can dine in the on-site restaurant, while selected meals can be ordered from the snack bar.

Another Portuguese complex for lovers of fresh air is Campismo Orbitur Angeiras, located in the vicinity of the town of Angeiras. From this campsite you can easily reach Porto (16 kilometers) or Braga (40 kilometers). Guests live in houses with comfort, there are the following areas: living room; dining room; kitchenette.

On site there is free parking for camping guests and a mini market where you can stock up on groceries. Free Wi-Fi is an added bonus for those guests who would like to be in touch with the world, but at the same time relax in the bosom of nature. The seasonal pool, located right at the campsite, helps to diversify your leisure time.

An analysis of the state of the campgrounds base in Portugal allows us to note the following points. The complexes are designed for tourists with different income levels and with different needs. Most of these holiday destinations can provide a sufficient level of comfort, provide leisure for adults and children, and provide a large cultural program. The choice of a camping located on the seaside or lost in the interior of the country remains with the tourist.
