It is famous for being the second largest single-nave church in the Old World after St. Peter's Cathedral in Rome. A museum is open in the temple, where the woven carpet "Creation of the World" of the 11th century and the statue of King Pedro IV, made by an unknown master in the 14th century, are worthy of attention.
