The center of the Cote d'Azur, the most "Russian" in terms of the number of our emigrants from French cities, Nice is the fifth city in France in size and almost its tourist "Mecca". Russian Nice
Nice is a place of rest, residence and, alas, the last refuge for many immigrants from Russia. At different times rested here: the leader of the world proletariat Vladimir Ulyanov (Lenin) and the writer A. P. Chekhov, Russian generals, writers, artists and poets. It is no coincidence that the city has two Russian Orthodox churches and a Russian Orthodox cemetery, where three thousand emigrants from Russia are buried. “Moscow in the Heart of Nice” is about the Cathedral of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.
What to buy and where to eat?
The city's commercial life is centered on the flower market. Everything from seafood and flowers to antiques can be viewed and bought here, although this is more of a flea market. But shopping should start with CAP-3000, a shopping center near the airport with one and a half hundred shops.
As for gastronomic pleasures, it offers dishes with a strong influence of Italian cuisine, because for a long time Italians owned Nice. Here you can find pasta, seafood, and other pleasures of the Mediterranean. The restaurants are cozy, tasty, but not budgetary.
