Nigeria is not the most visited resort country. But in vain. After all, it is famous for its bazaars, museums (the best of them are located in Kaduna, Lagos, Ibadan and other cities), as well as natural monuments (which are only the waterfalls of Nigeria). But when planning a trip here, you should definitely get vaccinated against yellow fever.
Gurara waterfall
This waterfall reaches 200 m in length and about 30 m in height. It cannot be called the highest, but the speed of its flow is so powerful that the water foams and, going down, breaks against the foot of the waterfall (in the pool, in the lower part of the waterfall you can swim only in the dry season, for example, in January, when only a thin trickle “remains” from its stream). And nearby, if desired, travelers can take a break, having a picnic in nature (the surroundings are a good place for bird watching).
Olumirin waterfall
This waterfall consists of 7 steps, and to see each of them, you will have to walk and climb long enough (part of the way will be overcome by the bridge). At the foot, you can put your face and body under the stream of water, but take into account that it is cold (+ 10˚ C).
Owu waterfall
This waterfall is of interest to tourists who want to take great pictures of water cascades surrounded by lush rainforest (especially beautiful during the rainy season).
Matsirga waterfall
It consists of 4 cascades, about 30 m high - their waters flow into a large pool. In this place, you will be able to take shelter in the shade and relax in the cool fog that forms from the water.
Agbokim waterfall
This waterfall consists of 7 streams of different widths, and the area next to them is an excellent place for trekking (everyone can be alone with nature, surrounded by green landscapes).
Farin Ruwa waterfall
This waterfall (its height is 150 m, width is 50 m) flows from the top of the Jos plateau and falls down in a beautiful cascade. It is worth noting that they plan to create a resort area nearby with a hotel complex, chalets, an amusement park and a golf course, which will attract numerous tourists here.
Awhum waterfall
This 30-meter waterfall, according to local residents, has healing properties, so it is worth taking a dip here and taking some water with you by pouring it into a bottle. And in its vicinity, tourists can find a monastery and caves.
