The capital of Switzerland allows travelers to wander through the old streets of the Old Town, escape from the hustle and bustle and breathe fresh air in the Rose Garden, admire fountains, marble and bronze sculptures of bears, have fun in the Prestige club (here you can dance and enjoy a musical performance), go shopping in one from fashion boutiques or shopping malls.
Zeitglockenturm tower
Guests are interested in the clock (the decoration of the dial is the "Beginning of Times" fresco), which reflect the day of the week, time, month, phases of the moon, the position of the sun in the zodiac. At the end of each hour, you should come here for a 4-minute performance, the heroes of which are figures (bears, a rooster, a knight, the god of Time Chronos and fairy creatures). It is worth noting that this Clock Tower, together with the Zeitglockenturm Belfry, is the symbol of the whole of Switzerland - it used to act as the “zero kilometer”: all distances in the canton were counted from the belfry. Those who wish can not only take a tour of the tower, but also climb the spiral staircase (130 steps will have to be overcome) to the observation deck in order to admire the Bernese beauties and the surroundings of the city.
Federal palace
Those who wish will be able to visit the palace with a guide as part of an excursion group (a pass is issued with a passport). So, they will be able to admire the mosaics that adorn the ceiling of the dome, see the statues of the three founders of Switzerland in the lobby of the building, visit the hall where ceremonial receptions are held (it is worth admiring the ceiling decorated with panels depicting the 6 virtues), the National Assembly hall (light marble; interesting decor in the form of interior items made of glass, canvases and forged elements) and the Federal Council Hall (it is worth paying attention to the decor in the form of dark marble, wood carvings and wall panels). From the terrace of the palace, guests can admire the beautiful city views, surroundings and the Alps, and from special galleries - watch the parliamentary sessions in progress. It should be noted that valuables inside the palace cannot be photographed, except for 2 days a year (31.07 and 01.08)
Fountain Zeringer
The central figure of this fountain is a sculpture of a bear on a high pedestal with a helmet on its head and 2 swords behind its belt; in one paw he holds a shield, and in the other - a banner. At the feet of the big bear, there is a small bear cub - it “devours” the grapes. This composition is not only worth a look, but also to capture it in the photo.
