If you dream of admiring the real ancient East, then a trip to Uzbekistan will help your dream come true.

Additional Information

There is an extensive network of automobile routes in the republic. The movement is carried out in our usual right-hand mode. By bus you can easily get to all major cities of the republic.

Public transport

You can ride around the city by bus, tram or trolleybus. Unfortunately, buses running around the city are not equipped with air conditioning.

An equally convenient type of city transport is private route taxis. The fare in such a minibus does not differ from the cost of a city bus ticket. And although the minibus also follows a certain route, you can ask the driver to stop the car in the place you want.

Taxi

Taxis in cities are relatively cheap, but you can count on it if you are already familiar with the existing tariffs. Otherwise, get ready for the fact that they will try to deceive you, taking advantage of inexperience. Tourist fares are almost always overpriced.

Private carriage is also flourishing in Uzbekistan. Remember that you can and should bargain with both official taxi drivers and private drivers, agreeing on the price of the trip in advance.

Underground

There is a metro only on the territory of the capital. In addition, the Tashkent metro is the only one in the entire territory of Central Asia. The metro operates every day, starting at six in the morning and ending at exactly midnight.

The metro is equipped with modern air conditioners, so it is not hot at the stations. It is worth remembering that taking pictures and filming videos is strictly prohibited at the stations.

Air transport

The role of the domestic air carrier is performed by Uzbek Airlines. From Tashkent you can get to almost all the big cities of the country.

Railway transport

The train journey can only be made in four directions. The starting point is Tashkent, and the final station is:

  • Bukhara;
  • Urgench;
  • Andijan;
  • Termez.

On the route Tashkent-Bukhara, you can go on a trip on a branded express. The journey will take only 4 hours, during which you will be offered dinner or breakfast. This service is already included in the fare.

Car rental

In the usual concept of car rental in the country, there is no such thing. But several companies offer to rent a car with a personal driver. The service can be ordered at any major hotel. As an alternative to renting a car for only one day, you can use a taxi, having previously agreed on payment with the driver.
