In this country, literally everything is subordinated to the wishes of the client, since the material well-being of the owners depends on the guests. Hotels, entertainment centers, shopping malls, monuments, attractions and taxis in Turkey - everything is ready to receive tourists at the highest level, both from the East and the West.
Historically, the Turkish taxi is one of the most convenient modes of transport in the country. Visible from afar, bright yellow cars can easily reach any corner of Turkey.
Here the rule is about demand, which gives rise to supply. But there is also a downside, given that in the summer the number of coastal residents increases several times, respectively, and there are more taxi drivers.
General rules
Turkey, like its close and distant neighbors, adheres to certain rules in relation to taxis. Firstly, there are two tariffs in operation - day and night, which, of course, are more expensive. A tourist should be careful: a burning light indicates that the night tariff is included.
Sometimes sly taxi drivers, hoping that the tourist does not know this rule, turn on the light bulb in the daytime, so the fare is 50% more expensive. The same methods are used by enterprising Turkish drivers when they report a double tariff on a weekend (in this country there is no weekend rule), about more expensive routes or an increase in the fare when three people board a taxi.
Taxi call
A tourist who is in a hotel and wants to go outside can call a taxi by phone, the company must be available from the administrator. In the city itself, you do not need to "vote" on the road, it is better to first try to find the nearest parking lot.
In Antalya, there are other ways to order a car: there are multi-colored buttons on lampposts or trees, by pressing any of them, you can safely wait for a taxi, it will arrive at the place within five minutes.
Tariffs
One of the most popular resorts in Turkey is Antalya, prices here will be higher than elsewhere in the outback, but in principle, you can navigate by them in other regions. On average, a tourist will have to part with the following amounts:
- from the airport to the city center - 20 USD and more;
- from the airport to Kemer - about 70 USD;
- from the airport to Alanya - 130 USD;
- in the city - 2–2, 5 USD per 1 km.
