Traditions customs of the inhabitants of Turkey
Turkish culture is rich and versatile, because it is a mixture of the traditions of the peoples of the Mediterranean, Anatolia, Central Asia, the Middle East, the Caucasus …
Like all peoples, Turks are famous for their interesting wedding traditions. The marriage here is to bless the imam. And the wedding itself lasts for many days, during which several ceremonies are held, in which not only family members take part, but also residents of the entire street, and in some cases, the entire village.
Family for any Turk is the most important thing in life, so representatives of the same clan or family live nearby, communicate every day and provide each other with financial and emotional support. Thanks to this attitude, in Turkey there is practically no such problem as street children and old people abandoned to their fate.
In the provinces there are polygamists (it is allowed to have up to 6 wives), but in this case the house is divided into male and female halves, and the husband must provide each of his wives with a separate room.
Turks are courteous and honest people: if anyone needs help, including tourists, they will definitely help. But when communicating with them, you should not rush and show your impatience.
If you are invited to visit by the Turks, keep in mind that it is not customary here to start drinking tea or eating without the permission of the host. And you can smoke only after the permission of the older man, if you came to visit, or the meeting organizer, if you were invited to a business meeting.
