Denmark is a cultured and polite country. Here they can be bombarded with dozens of questions, and almost immediately they switch to "you". Danes prefer to keep silent about their personal life, and it is also not worth touching on issues of religion or income. In Denmark it is not recommended to: be late; refuse treats; take offense at sarcasm.
Also, the word "please" is absent in Danish, so you should not be surprised when they start demanding something from you. Greetings and goodbyes are accompanied by a firm handshake. Also, do not come to visit without a bottle of alcohol. The Danes also strictly monitor smoking in the wrong places - these places are everywhere, except for specially designated areas.
Morals
Freedom for Danes is not just a word. For some reason, it is believed that the freest country is Holland. In fact, almost everything is allowed in Denmark. Firstly, here no one pays special attention to the personal life of another, and same-sex marriages have become something commonplace. Secondly, almost all of Denmark's beaches have long been nudist, which shocks many foreigners. But for the locals, such liberation is not surprising. It is very strict with drugs here, but taking an example from the same Amsterdam, the Danish authorities have left some legal ways of selling marijuana.
Strange, but there is practically no crime in Denmark. In the provinces, residents generally rarely lock their homes, and in Copenhagen, you can safely walk at night. They are sensitive in this country to human rights and freedoms. Even criminals are a special case for Danes. They are not judged, but treated and can be allowed home on special occasions.
Kitchen
Danish cuisine is a kind of mixture of various Scandinavian and German dishes. It is based on fish and seafood. The Danes have a special attitude towards sandwiches (there are about 700 varieties of them) and beer. These are the most popular national products. Of the meat, pork is the most preferable; it is an indispensable ingredient in various meat dishes. Chicken is used much less frequently. From desserts, the Danes love jelly, rolls and apple pies. Spirits - schnapps and mulled wine.
