Mediterranean latitudes and the consequences of ancient Roman influence are the main reasons that allowed Macedonia to become one of the wine European powers. Despite many historical and political upheavals, the local winemakers produce a worthy product, which wine tour participants are eager to taste. Varieties and numbers

The largest volume of all wine produced in Macedonia comes from the Povardarje region. It is located near the border with Greece. Every year 85% of Macedonian wines are bottled here, and the various climatic conditions of the region, due to the difficult terrain, make it possible to grow various varieties of grapes. Winemakers Povardaria vine gives berries of the varieties Merlot and Chardonnay, Cabernet and Riesling. Red grapes prevail over whites, and therefore red wines in Macedonia are produced in much larger quantities.

Almost a hundred wineries and factories in Macedonia offer their products to fans of local wines. Lovers of active cognitive recreation go on wine tours around the country, for whom every day of their vacation should be eventful and varied.

Fried geese, homemade fruit pies, stewed vegetables and lamb ribs cooked with aromatic herbs serve as a snack on the tables of local residents.

The gatherings can last long enough and be accompanied by songs and dances, stories and memories. The excellent quality of Macedonian wine allows you to safely support the company, without fear of unpleasant consequences.
