Diving in Vietnam is becoming an increasingly popular pastime among tourists who have chosen this country for their vacation vacations. And if earlier Vietnam was not even considered as a country with interesting places for diving, now everything has changed.
Nha Trang
The largest resort area in the country, surprising with its pristine beauty. It is here that the main dive sites of Vietnam are located. A huge number of coral varieties (over 350) have created magnificent gardens that are home to numerous species of shrimp, crabs and cowrie fish.
In Nha Trang, due to the excellent climatic conditions, you can dive throughout the year. But the most favorable period is from April to mid-autumn. The water area of Moon Island is especially popular.
Whale island
Kit Island is located a couple of hours drive from Nha Trang. The diving sites here have completely unique underwater landscapes, and the water is so clear that even beginners in diving can sink to the bottom without fear. The diving zone starts almost immediately from the beach, and the bottom gradually sinks to a depth of 15 meters.
Phu Quoc
The largest island in the Vietnamese archipelago, becoming a place of pilgrimage for divers since the end of October. The main dive sites are located in opposite directions - south and north of the island.
The water area of the northern tip of the island, where quite a lot of sea turtles live, will be interesting from a historical point of view. Among the coral gardens near Cape Nogot, you can admire the remains of ancient civilizations, as well as visit the wrecks - ships that sank to the bottom during the Second World War.
The southern tip of the island offers more diving sites. It will be equally comfortable for both beginners and professionals. There are grottoes, caves, and numerous coral reefs. For lovers of vertical descents - a steep rock wall. From "living creatures" - colorful fish, reef sharks and soaring rays.
Condao
Con Dao is a national reserve located three hundred kilometers from the mainland. Fourteen small islands form an ideal dive site. The best period for diving is from early spring to June. Visibility during this period is almost 20 meters.
It is not recommended to dive into the local waters for beginners, as there are quite strong currents around the islands. Overall, Con Dao is a completely unique place. Coral reefs, starting almost from the coast, sheer walls, going deep down, hundred-kilogram sharks and shipwrecks. One of the ships has survived pretty well, but the second is almost completely covered by sand and has become a refuge for numerous fish.
